"A spokeswoman for TV investigator Mark Williams-Thomas said the alleged victim
first contacted him after his 2012 exposé of Savile. Details were passed to
the Met’s Yewtree team. Officers then passed on the case to colleagues in
South Yorkshire, where the offence allegedly occurred.

The spokeswoman added: “Mark has made a statement to the police relating to
this and other information he has been made aware of, and therefore is
