Getting paid handsomely for one’s charitable works is definitely a cross party thing, and anyway perhaps Busching did it out of the goodness of his heart, to help refugees in desperate need?  Either way, point is Busching obviously has no interest in helping Bruckner, is not his friend and would no doubt be fearing for his life if he went anywhere near him so your suggestion was a bit silly wasn’t it?

It wasn’t a suggestion…it was sarcasm. Perhaps it would be useful to learn the difference?

The utter ridiculousness of you even suggesting the Busching was smuggling people out of the goodness of his heart explains a lot of your views on this case.
Brietta posted on 10/04/2022 “But whether or not that is the reason behind the delay I am certain that Brueckner's trial is going to take place.”

Let’s count the months, shall we?

It wasn't sarcasm on your part it was facetiousness, I merely replied in kind, shame you weren't smart enough to realise that.

So, far from sacking HCW and hanging their heads in embarrassment and shame after the last trial it seems the German prosecutors are redoubling their efforts to see Bruckner put back behind bars.  I do hope they are successful in getting a re-trial as the last one was a farce imo.

Thanks, Vertigo! Thats an interesting article!

This is more balanced.

Living as a homeless person Christian B., the prime suspect in the Madeleine ?Maddie? McCann murder case, last in a tent in a forest near Kiel. The city recently assigned the ex-convict permanent accommodation ? he is said to have left again. But he doesn't just have to worry about his housing situation. The Braunschweig prosecutors receive support from Karlsruhe.

The now 49-year-old had to answer to the Braunschweig Regional Court in 2024 for three counts of rape and two counts of sexual abuse of children. In a trial lasting eight months, the Public Prosecutor's Office and the Chamber in legal matters always against each other violently. In October 2023, Christian B. was acquitted of all charges. The court justified this in particular with massive doubts about the credibility of the key witnesses.

The prosecution filed an appeal and explained in 680 pages why the acquittal had to be overturned and the charges retried. Since April 2025, the Federal Prosecutor General (GBA) at the Federal Court of Justice has been examining whether he agrees with the reasoning. According to information from our newspaper, the decision has been made: the GBA fully supports the public prosecutor's appeal.

The VI Senate of the Federal Court of Justice in Leipzig is now responsible. If it is found there that the Braunschweig court has made legal errors, a new trial will take place.

Ignore the brit rubbish.

His monitoring may come to an end soon, it's in the German press no mention of a  school.

Quote
Proportionality of monitoring comes into focus after six months
Such surveillance, which serves to avert danger, may indeed be extended by a court by follow-up order. However, the person's dangerousness must still be justified. If a monitored person does not show any conspicuous activity after six months, the question of proportionality becomes increasingly urgent.

As far as is known, Christian B. has not committed any other crimes while at liberty; he also wears an electronic ankle bracelet. March 17, 2026 ? when the observation will be half a year old ? could become the cut-off date. It is conceivable that random checks will be ordered.
