Alleged Miscarriages of Justice > Jeremy Bamber and the callous murder of his father, mother, sister and twin nephews. Case effectively CLOSED by CCRC on basis of NO APPEAL REFERRAL.
The New Yorker magazine now claiming Bamber had an alibi?
John:
This week, audio footage was released by the New Yorker magazine, which seemed to exonerate Bamber, who has been in prison for 40 years. Could this lead to his release?
In the millions of pages disclosed to Jeremy Bamber over the decades, in his bid to prove his innocence of one of the 20th century’s most notorious crimes, PC Nick Milbank is barely mentioned. Eleanor:
I never have been sure of his guilt. But what is likely to happen now?
Vertigo Swirl:
I don’t see how a call made at 6.09am in which no one actually speaks exonerates JB, can someone please explain?

Someone was still alive in that house. Bamber was outside in police custody.

He wasn’t in custody at that point but he was with them outside the house. However, the call (if one were actually made) could have been made by a victim who momentarily regained consciousness before collapsing again and dying. No gunshot was heard while police were outside the house so all shots had already been fired by the time they arrived. I don’t see how this alleged phone call proves Bamber is innocent. I thought it all hinged on the alleged aga burns anyway? Where’s Blogs?
