What else is there in terms of evidence?
The short-lived investigation revealed nothing of substance, IMO, unless you've found something that I haven't.
And with a questionable defense. (IMO)

I have no doubt that both Ciprianos had involvement to one extent or another in Joana's demise, the actual chain of events however might never be known.
