However I don't believe the McCann left the back door open since on the first depositions Mr. McCann said that he entered the apartment by the front door using the key. For me the possibility that the child went out by herself is impossible. As it is the theory that anyone was able to open the bedroom shutters and take her."
Yet I have heard Gerry talking about a special gate at the top of the stairs! So what are the facts about the safety gate.

That was the video I was hoping someone knew about. I have heard it quite often but I wasn't sure which interview it was, Thank you.
Did you notice she doesn't give a reason why Madeleine was not thought of exiting the front door? What would have been Kate's answer to that?

That post was 2013 and the PJ files were released in 2008 showing the child gate in the PJ photos taken on 3rd May. Why would someone make a post which was so easy to disprove?
Why, also, are you raising the matter when I'm pretty sure you have read the files and seen the photos of the child gate?

OK it is clear Luz was wrong. Maybe moderation was different in those days and factually wrong statements were allowed. I just wanted to know if the gate we see is the so called safety gate. It isn't actually labelled as such.

The bottom gate was there as well.

But if they could have got out a verandah, would they have a) closed the verandah door after them, b) closed the baby gate (unless it swung shut) and c) shut the bottom gate?
