Hang on a second the original poster made no allegations of a crime in their original post against the McCann's or anyone else.

All Faith said was it is possible, and there is evidence, of people lying for years to conceal a crime.

If the family supporter's chose to ask Faith what crime the McCann's have committed i suggest they open a thread regarding that subject and then it's up to Faith to deicde if she wants to post.

But this thread and indeed the OP had nothing to do with what alleged crime the Mccann's had committed.

Thank you Albertini, I was just about to post a similar response myself.
Brietta posted on 10/04/2022 “But whether or not that is the reason behind the delay I am certain that Brueckner's trial is going to take place.”

Let’s count the months, shall we?

Were you really?

So what exactly was your point about lying for 6 years then? This man lied for a lot longer than that.

How is it relevant to a Mccann discussion forum?

I suggest it's only relevant if you are trying to imply the Mccanns have lied for 6 years.

Really? How odd that you never bothered yesterday to post anything of the kind!

And what is your excuse for posting this in the Madeleine McCann section?

What relevance does it have to the McCann case unless (as has been pointed out) you are implying a crime on their part and years of lying on their part?  What crime are you implying on their part and what lies on their part?

Or do you have some other excuse?

Please do explain.

it destroys the perception that people cannot lie for years or own up if they were involved in a crime, thats all. Food for thought. No need to turn it into anything else, its an observation and a valid one.
We admire the heroism of men like Socrates who try and stand up refusing any form of illusion. But living implies some sort of mise en scène of our fate in order to find in ourselves the character capable to assume the complexity of the real.

Absolutely nothing, zero, nada.

It would be interesting to see Faithlilly return and explain though.

Could you explain this point more fully please, Anne?

@ Lace: Rough Justice did a programme about Simon Hall a while ago. I think he appeared in it , but can't be certain as I concentrate on ones I can prove innocent. There has been a lot of coverage of his claims to be the victim of a miscarriage of justice. There is no similarity between Hall's case and the McCanns.

Tracie Andrews also protested innocence and then admitted guilt. It is hardly unprecedented and proves absolutely nothing apart from the fact that they had lied about their own guilt while claiming innocence in their own cases. For 15 years the Cardiff Five claimed that they were totally innocent and then something changed. They were proved innocent beyond doubt by the conviction of the real killer.

Now I could mention that in the same topic as the McCanns and it would be just as irrelevant as mentioning them in a post about a liar that protested his innocence when he was guilty. What exactly does this thread prove?

Welcome and great post.

I just found your bio.
I hope you contribute to some of the forensics / DNA threads. :)
