I'm new to this forum-just thought I would introduce myself. I'm Fred, I have become absolutely fascinated by the Bamber case since reading about the European Court ruling in January confirming that they supported the decision never to release Jeremy and other convicted killers. This led me to find out more information about the case. In all honesty, when I first read about the case I wasn't sure if the conviction was sound. But the more I read about it (including the stuff I found out on your forum) the more convinced I have been of his guilt. The main reasons are: a) I do not believe Sheila would have been capable of the killings for many reasons; b) If my father had rang me up in the middle of the night implying his life was in danger and I lived a 5 minute drive away I would have rang 999 straight away, then rushed around to see if there was any way I could have helped. The fact that Jeremy drove there at a snail's pace suggests he knew what he was going to find there, and arriving after the police got there helped to reinforce his alibi; and c) Julie Mugford's testimony-it's one thing to be a woman scorned, it's another to invent a story to put your ex in prison for life. If Mugford had made the whole thing up then why not just say Jeremy told her HE had done it? Why invent a story about a hitman (unless she is telling the truth that this is what he told her)? It seems to make more sense if you take the view that she is telling the truth and Bamber is lying than it does vice versa.
I did sign up to Tesko Towers just to see the documents. However, I've decided that the majority of the people on that board are just a bit too strange for me to participate there. Not to mention being such complete hypocrites. I'm puzzled about why they think theories on how Jeremy could have committed the murders are so far fetched-then invent even more far-fetched stories as to why he is innocent! My favourite Tesko moment was when he claimed that the dog barking was Sheila. And he seems to change his mind so often about what happens you have to wonder about whether or not he has any credibility left. And he knows where Madeline McCann is buried. Did you read that? I also mean to get round to finding out more about Simon Hall in due course.
