The victims were shot at close range, and in the case of the twins and June (initially) whilst in bed and NB (latterly) while seated so it is difficult to see how the perpetrator could miss?  The only shot that seems to have a sort of missed was the shot fired at NB whilst he was going downstairs.

JB is described in the CoA document as a "good shot".  He was also described as a "marksman" when in the cadets.  Surely he would be aware of the limitations of the weaponry/ammo?  Is it possible to have expert precision with an owned rifle and yet be amateurish when it comes to appreciating its (rifle and ammo) capabilities?

If the shots were likely to be heard by neighbours then I struggle to understand how SC was not alerted to the commotion?

I just don't know  8-)(--)  All I can be certain of is that psychologically SC fits the profile and JB does not.

A marksman means simply that he hit enough stationary targets with an air rifle to win a marksman badge.  Scores are calculated by how many targets you hit out of  aset number of shots.  Each target is worth a certain amount of points.  That has nothing at all to do with understanding the effect of 22 caliber shots on the body. People who use 22s to kill humans know their optimal utility is in the head though a lucky shot in the chest could kill.

Being a marksman years earlier with an air rifle doesn't necessarily translate into being a good shot with other weapons.  I am a much better shot with an M-16 than an AKM (the military version of the Ak-47). There is a difference between shooting stationary targets and people who move around.

The interesting thing is that he wanted a semiautomatic gun for the murders.  He wanted a semiautomatic shotgun.  That is only used for game.  Isn't it interesting that he supposedly needed a gun for shooting vermin and targets but wanted a gun no good for either... Since he didn't want to go game hunting and a semi-auto shotgun is for game but is not considered sporting he had to accept a 22.  That is the only semi-auto with a sizable magazine his father would agree to buy.  Since he wasn't paying for it he had to settle for it.

If he had bouht the gun Jeremy wanted then what?

1) Nevill probably would have died in the bedroom so no struggle to mess things up
2) Jeremy would not have been able to come up with the stupid lie about taking the gun out and leaving it out because the shot he would have loaded to kill a rabbit would not be the same choice he would use for killing his family.

So the ironic thing is that some of the things that tripped him up probably would not have happened.  On the flip side the louder sound might have woken up the kids and have made his life harder in that regard.

What you cited had to have come from the defense since only the defense has access to the CCRC decision and could have been the source of such claims.

The defense greatly harmed their own credibility on this issue by refusing to publish both their application- where they present their legal arguments (along with all supporting exhibits) and the CCRC written decision.

The defense stated they would do so after the written decision came out and then changed to claiming they would do so after all court appeals related to the submission were over.

So there was a preliminary ruling from the CCRC.  A very detailed 89 page written ruling and then finally a court decision upholding the CCRC decision.  The appeal to the Court was only on select grounds the defense did not challenge the dismissial of all claims before the court so conceded some of their arguments.

Even while the appeal was ongoing they should have had no problem publishing their own application including the exhibits in support of their positions.  Even during the appeal it made little sense to hide the 89 page decision but now that the appeal failed they should reveal it.  They said they would but changed their mind and won't.

There is onylo 1 reason they would not release it, they got smacked down hard and they don't want anyone to see the crap arguments they made that got rejected and the basis for the rejection of the claims.

If the press published such then it would likely be the end of any public support for Jeremy.  So it is considered not in Bamber's best interest to release it.  For it to be not in his interest to be released it must be harmful.

Post conviction litigants should be made to publicly disclose all applications in full regarding any appeal - the fact they don’t suggests innocence fraud could be the motivating factor behind the ‘litigant’/appellant not doing so

Holly what possible evidence do you have for 'your view'!? Is it just your guess work?

I realise you are accusing the police of very serious crimes but I am not sure if you are also accusing Dr. Vanezis too? I cannot imagine any legitimate reason for Dr. V. to hand vials of Sheila's blood to EP; therefore you are saying he too was a conspiarator in tampering with and fabricating evidence! Perverting the course of justice in the process!

Doesn't it worry you that to discredit evidence you have to accuse family members and/or the coroner/policemen of very serious crimes?

Oh, perverting the court of justice is so, so serious!

This dreadful plot thickens...

Holl, (genuine question, you know that I would never have a pop at you)....have you ever worked out just how many people would have to be complicit in a cover-up to ensure a successful Bamber conviction? Are we talking tens, dozens, or hundreds? Bearing in mind that at one time Bamber was offering a stonking great reward. The old cliche of a chain only being as strong as it's weakest link is true. During 30 years, no one wanted to claim that reward? Or have a crisis of conscience? Or want the kudos of blasting open what some regard as the MOJ of the century? The most insignificant rookie there at the time could confess and potentially be a massive hero. It must make you think a bit.  XXX

Seems strange no-one’s come forward in 35 years, PugLove!😌

Night!!       8(>((

Do you seriously, honestly think that Sheila killed her boys then battered  Ralph? Without a speck of blood on her nightie, hands, chest or legs? Or arms?

Or under her fingernails?

High up her nostrils?

In her hair?

In her mouth? Gums, roof, tongue, teeth?

In her eyes?

Underneath her eyelids?
