Does that mean 'the parents are not being investigated'? It does not.

That the parents are not suspects, of course. What did you think it means?

Exactly that and IMO police don’t spend time investigating people who are not suspects.

If he is investigating the parents how is he doing that exactly?  Googling them?

Wouldn't make any difference to sceptics if he had would it.... You would find an excuse not to believe anything he said

The Portuguese police have publicly made the very same statement in the past when they were definitely investigating the McCanns. I cannot understand, therefore, why you think they wouldn't do the same again.

31st August 2007

Chief Inspector Olegario Sousa confirmed today that Gerry and Kate McCann are not under suspicion for their daughter's vanishing on 3 May and described them as "victims".

"The McCanns are not suspects. They are victims and witnesses," he said.

This has been explained before... They weren't suspects until the PJ misunderstood the evidence... Can't see that happening again

They’ve already investigated the arse out of them, how do you suppose they are investigating them again?  Do tell.
