I would suggest before wasting time and money farming out requests all over the world seeking assistance from other countries/Interpol it would make sense to eliminate innocent contamination by way of officers at soc first.

It needs explaining/further investigation.  I have just sent another email to OG to follow up.   8(>(( ?>)()<

But GA was coordinator for the investigation.  The fingerprint analysts at Weinbaden stated the unidentified fingerprint could have originated from a youth or woman but not a child.  Although not expressly stated it would seem the analysts ruled out a man.  Yet GA has overlooked this and happy to attribute the fingerprint to a male officer.  I know from looking at other cases 'chain of custody' re evidence collection becomes crucial.  What processes can be relied upon to show that no foul play is involved?

Is he not coordinating? He has received information from Irene Trovao and has acted upon it.

I believe that it's possible to label a fingerprint 'adult' or 'child' but not 'man', 'woman' or 'youth'. So imo Wiesbaden were giving an unfounded opinion.

Xenophobe!!  Racist!!  Lusophobe!!
(just saving others the trouble).

Not really I just admire their discipline, order and efficiency as evidenced by the bar coding on Lidl products.
Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

Wonderful though the Germans may be, they didn't have access to the amino acids found in the fingerprint sample imo. Therefore they were giving an opinion.

We don't know what they were given and what the state of their fingerprint analysis was back in 2007.

Afaik in the UK all serving police officers supply fingerprints and dna which are entered onto an elimination database.

7. MANAGEMENT OF PERSONNEL WHO POSE RISK OF CONTAMINATION
7.1 Police personnel
7.1.1 The risk of DNA contamination from police personnel has long been recognised
and a Police Elimination Database (PED) has been in existence since 2000.
From April 1, 2003 there has been a requirement for all new recruits to provide
a DNA sample for inclusion on the PED and since October 2012, for new recruit
profiles to be compared against the National DNA Database® (NDNAD) on a
one-off basis as part of the vetting procedure.

If PJ did not check for innocent contamination before farming out requests all over the world this doesn't really fill one with much confidence!

Had they used the method in the link you provided they wouldn't have said youth or woman, they would have known the gender.

I've no idea what methods they used, do you?

I expect getting the information out there was the priority; it could always be withdrawn later.

Far quicker to shove the fingerprint through a police elimination database than seek assistance from countries all over the world.

Its just basic stuff and in this regard shows the PJ, at best, incompetent fools and at worst up to some wrongdoing.

Indeed, but Portugal didn't have such a database in 2007.
