Yes and no. I actually meant environmental in general, the couch being an example. Just being in the vicinity may expose one to these 'particles' (I assume it's a specific pollen). This field apparently was 'surrounding' the farm.
But you sort of reinforce what I was referring to; how on Earth can they say with any certainty that there were microscopic particles in her hair ergo it cannot have been washed.

As we are all exposed to environmental elements which will coat the scalp and shaft of dry -as in not wet- hair. Shampoo emulsifies these elements and they're washed away. What I'm saying is that a clean scalp is a very different playing field from an unwashed one, and wet hair is different from dry(unwashed) hair.

The point here seems to be that particles were present -the number is irrelevant- which wouldn't be the case had she washed her hair.

I'll go along with that. I suffer from hay fever, and several people have told me to wash my hair daily during the season, as pollen sticks to it.

Where on earth did this myth originate that Vanezis found particles in Sheila's hair, analyzed them and concluded that they came from the fields surrounding WHF?
It's one of them cases, in'it... one of them f*ckin' cases.

Here we have an example of how myths become established facts. A point is made. It's picked up. Run with. Examined. Talked about at length. Et Voila. Point becomes fact!!!

I tend to try and stay away from such things were possible.

That is possible but I think they were killed earlier than people think and that Bamber made sure Nevill wasn't upstairs at the time - (possibly in the shower) thus separating them. There is also the possibility that Sheila slept in the main bedroom with June. June was worried about her and she would have been closer to the twins. It would also explain how she came to be found in the position she was. There was a pair of mens slippers in Sheila's room and if Nevill slept there, it would have made the job a lot easier for Bamber - there was also a drop of his blood outside of Sheila's bedroom, which could have come from the first shot. Which ever scenario you  choose - they are all really just best guesses.

A professional shooting reconstruction will show the location of NB and perp when NB sustained his upstairs gsw's.

The small blood stain on the carpet outside SC's bedroom revealed enzyme AK-1 which only June possessed.
Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

The 'wet' hair comes in as part of the cleansing ritual that many -maybe I, too, at one moment- went along with, but it was always quite obvious to me that her hair was dry. I haven't read any documents about her hair being examined minutely, but having put more than my fair share of hairs under a microscope, I find it interesting.

Re tampons, as in remove or leave in situ? As you say, we're all different.

Oh, pathologists examine every part of the body in a PM.

They also protect evidence by placing bags over the deceased person’s head, as they did Sheila’s before they removed her body.

In a post mortem they examine every single part of the body, both the outer and inner. Besides opening them up and looking at their organs, they examine the contents of their stomachs, bowels, vagina etc...

They also take samples from their mouths, teeth, nostrils, teeth, ears. Feet, toes, hands, underneath fingernails, and hair..

Hair is a vital part of a PM, as besides being able to establish where they’ve been, what diet/drugs they’ve taken by just one strand of hair, that depending on length can show all their movements over months, or even years, they also look for blood, human tissue, body fluids, and chemicals/fibres/sprays/pollution/smoke/dust/ flora/fibres/ particles from earth/woodlands/fields...everything

Hair is so revealing even if it’s been washed

But if it’s been washed prior to a person being killed at home, that washes away traces of outdoor elements.

In Sheila’s case it was proven that her hair had not been washed the day before she was murdered as she had particles amongst her hair that could have only been present by her being outside by a field. Maybe it was rapeseed spores...

It’s obviously invisible to the eye, just like cigarette smoke would be, but it clings to the hair and stays there until washed.

Sheila did not wash her hair that evening, and that’s a fact, and I shall find the document that states that.

Re: the Tampax. Yes, we’re all different, but I personally (unless having a heavy blood flow mid cycle) would always remove the Tampax prior to bathing/showering, and then insert a new one, I just feel it’s fresher somehow.

You're teaching your grandmother to suck eggs! You forgot to explain the anagen cycle. I taught the City and Guilds syllabus  for three years.

Where does it mention the carpet outside of Sheil's room?

They’re forensic scientists — you and I aren’t

They know by the quantity if the hair’s been washed or not

Just like they knew Sheila wasn’t the mudererer , she had no gun residue on her body or clothes

Out of interest, who did the slippers found in Sheila’s bedroom belong to?

Could Jeremy have worn them as he crept up the stairs? I’d guess Nevill took a larger size shoe than Jeremy, so maybe Jeremy wore them to throw police off the scent?

Having said that, what about the socks in the master bedroom? You’d expect them to be Nevill’s (men have a tendency to throw them on the floor, and they always sniff them first for some strange reason), but I’m wondering now why Nevill would have had his socks on as he’d showered downstairs before going to bed?

The more you look into it the more bizarre it all becomes.
