Dr Ferguson was/is a psychiatrist not a chemist/toxicolgist/pharmacologist.

What is important is the level of toxicocity at tod and we know from chemist Alexander Allan that the level of Haloperidol in SC's blood at tod was within the medium range at the low end.

It was in the medium range.

"Nevill had suffered other injuries besides gunshot wounds. The severe bruising to his eyes and a laceration to the right side of his nose were due to a blow from a fist or blunt object. Bruising on his forehead and the right side of his face and ear, together with lateral marks to his left cheek, were the result of contact with a blunt object or surface. Lacerations to the top of his head were caused by something with an edge to it, inducing a lot of mostly veinous bleeding. Two deep score lines on the left side of his head had been produced by pressing against the coal scuttle. A laceration to his right shoulder was thought to have been caused by the impact of the rifle stock and there was an unexplained graze on the right side of his chest. His right hand had bled from loss of skin while gouges and bruises on his right forearm later led to speculation that fingernails had been dug into his skin, but Vanezis states firmly: ‘They’re not nail marks at all. Absolutely not – it’s much more like pistol-whipping."

Lee, Carol Ann. The Murders at White House Farm: Jeremy Bamber and the killing of his family. The definitive investigation. (p. 192). Pan Macmillan. Kindle Edition.

Several laceration are mentioned, lacerations are cuts and cuts bleed. It is clear from his description that he firmy believes that Nevill was beaten.

We've all praised CAL as being accurate but it seems here she has fallen short.  From the above:

Two deep score lines on the left side of his head had been produced by pressing against the coal scuttle.

But ftom Dr V's report:

With regard to contact with the rim of the coal scuttle there were no injuries attributable to this.
Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

That's exactly what she wrote, score lines just means lines imprinted ito the skin through pressure - so hasn't fallen short at all.

That wasn't the point of the post, it's clear from what Vanezis told her that he thought Nevill had taken a beating so your interpretation has fallen short.

Could we please all cease the sniping and concentrate on constructive debate. TY

I rather think the pathologists report of May '86 is more reliable than an author's interpretation in a book published some 30 years after the event.

You will note he repeatedly states he was unable to gauge the pressure applied.

If little or no pressure had been applied there would have been little or no injury to examime.

I'm not saying NB didn't sustain appalling injuries from gsw's and non gsw's but is there anything SC was incapable of?

Physically she probably could have welded the rifle if Nevill was incapacitated but in doing so, there is no way she could have battered him without getting Nevill's blood on her, especially the beating to poor Nevill's head.

But the non gsw's were largely superficial: abrasions, bruising and lacerations.  The pathologist thought all the non-gsw's were caused at a time NB had ceased moving.

But he isn't saying anything different! It just suits you to play down various things that don't fit with your interpretation.

Which non-gsw's produced blood?  And if the rifle was the blunt instrument Dr V referred to how come it contained do little blood that a) it didn't transfer to SC's nightdress and b) there was so little blood on the rifle it wasn't even possible to group?

A laceration isn't superficial! And part of Nevill's brain was exposed from the head wounds!

For "largely superficial" non gsw's they seemed to have produced a lot of blood. Head's of course, do bleed very freely due to blood vessels so close to the surface.
