It was June's beloved pet not JB's who detested Crispy.
That sentence makes no sense.

I think he made clear his intentions with Crispy when the police handed him over and he said something like "I don't want that fcuking thing".

If that's not enough evidence then refer back to last w/e of Jul when the Pargeter's stayed at WHF he said Crispy needed shooting!  (CAL).

Why would anyone expect him to take in a dog he clearly disliked?

Conversely we are told when the police broke the news he vomited by thinking about his beloved Brambles.

He “appeared” to vomit, but the officers didn’t see any vomit...

That’s why he ran off to do his vomiting act...nothing came up

Besides, it would’ve been impossible to vomit with an empty stomach.

As for Crispy, he “forgot” himself when he spouted things like “shoot the f..king thing” etc...he hated that dog because he sensed Jeremy was evil and must have given him the evil stare while yapping at him.

JB can’t display normal emotions; so probably didn't think it odd that he’d want Crispy put down. That’s why he was so casual about it.

What was he expected to do with a dog he disliked and didn't want?   He did the decent thing and had him put down.

How compassionate of him, Holly

Just checking in Holly.
To remind everyone, there are many international cases where men ghosted in and out of crime scenes but were eventually exonerated, largely because ghosts are creatures of delightful fantasy.
Jeremy Bamber did not do this crime, I hope you all come to realise what matters, and truth is fundamental.

Edna O'Brien at 89 said just today when interviewed on her new novel Girl, and asked what is important to her now:
"I want to go down with people knowing I aimed for truth, and I will always aim for truth in writing."

At the end,   https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/w3ct0s19

Let us all aspire on this forum, and thank you immeasurably Holly for revealing the truth with clinical precision in this case.

And there was me certain the moon was waning....

WTH did this pop up from?!🤪

12 nil 12 nil 12 nil... in an interminable parade of international cases.
For parallels you might study
Meredith Kercher
Betsy Faria
Christine and Amber Lundy
Maria Ridulph

All accused were jailed despite cast iron alibis.

Meredith Kercher was a murder victim...get your facts right.

Amanda Fox did NOT have an alibi, let alone a cast iron one.  Her boyfriend lied too — he made out he’d been on his laptop most of the evening — and that was a lie too.

I believe she’s absolutely guilty of being involved in murdering poor Meredith.

I haven't ignored what you've said Caroline I just disagree.

It is  well documented JB disliked Crispy pre murders.

He understood Crispy's temperament seeing him every working day at the farm and may well have appreciated he wasn't the sort of dog that could be rehomed.  Whatever his reason(s) or even an absence of reason it was his choice and decision.

He did not subject Crispy to any cruelty, pain or suffering.  Nor did he end his life inhumanely; he went to the time, trouble and expense of having him put down at the vets where JM accompanied him.

The relatives were all farmers with their own  farms and none of them came forward to offer Crispy a new home.  No one, except those here, has ever criticised JB for having Crispy put down which is a life choice and perfectly legal like a woman's choice to terminate a foetus.

Ann Eaton was dreadfully upset that JB had Crispy put down, and you don’t KNOW what the rest of the family said about it — stop ASSUMING

Crispy was a dog, not a human, but he was still an animal and wasn’t a foetus

Strangely earlier in the year on another thread Holly lamented JB’s lack of empathy towards Crispy - her heart seems to have hardened somewhat since then.

Heart?

That sentence makes no sense.

It does to me.

Have you ever wondered why June's sister and/or niece didn't offer to rehome Crispy directly or indirectly?

Just my opinion of course but Jeremy Bamber is innocent and a couple from UK, unknown to T9, abducted Madeleine McCann - motive unknown.  Was J J murdered as a result of identifying as a goth?

What on Earth is wrong with you, Holly?

You come across a very cold hard woman

Ann Eaton didn't like Crispy either. According to Julie Mugford Jeremy asked a number of his family members if they wanted the dog, but none of them did. [CAL page 206]

Only that with so much other going on, Crispy was forgotten/overlooked -they were, after all, farming stock who tend not to be as sentimental over animals as are others- and Jeremy didn't overly advertise that he intended to have him put down. I find it interesting that he clearly didn't use their usual vet. Did it, I wonder, mean yet another trawl through Yellow Pages to find one when he could so easily have asked a family member?

I've posted previously about a male farmer friend whose long suffering wife kicked him out.  This left him with nowhere to house his shooting/hunting dogs which he kept outside.  He went to the vet to have them put down  but when he found out the cost he decided to shoot them himself!  He started to dig a hole and thought it hilarious when his dogs, who he never even named, joined in and started effectively digging their own graves!  I thought it was horrible and I always remind him of it.

OH!! That's frightful, Holly. Does your friend have connections with any of those employed in the concentration camps, and did he still shoot his dogs?

That kind of black humour is common amongst people who deal with life and death issues; police, army, NHS, undertakers, farmers and abattoir workers. Most of us are lucky enough to be protected from the realities of life and  can be sentimental. Other countries aren't sentimental about animals; Spain, for example.

They didn’t anticipate that Jeremy would have him put down though.

He could have found a home for him...and indeed WOULD have done as he was his supposed beloved mother’s dog, and that’s what all normal people would do.

Some people just fire fight - they know there is no excuse for such callousness but to admit it wouldn't do their position any good.

I was looking through JM's wit stats for info re the Cartier watches but a quick scan didn't reveal anything.  I did however stumble across the following which according to JM states JB asked June's family if they wanted Crispy but noone wanted him.  It also states the vet collected him from JB's.
