Does anyone else in here remember Antonio Toscano. Not his witness statement that we all can find but the actual story he was coming with at first. That he went to 'Frenchman's' house on the border between Germany and France where he was shown videos for sale. The character he described matches CBs character and also his actions. I think this story was published in Spanish media first and then translated to us.
This article is somehow matching what we are hearing about CB now. Could it be that Antonio Toscano made up the Frenchman and the house on German border and that all actually happened in PDL?
Otherwise, it is a strange coincidence. Could it be that AT was silenced before giving his statement? Because his statement is very much different to what he was saying at the beginning.

His story was as what I described, I read the translation. It was published in Spain but not the online version. I was looking for that. We only had the photo of the Spanish article and the translation. I cannot find it anywhere anymore.
But when he finally reached the PJ his statement was very much different to the actual interview he gave to papers where he mentioned going to the house on French German boarder and meeting his actual "suspect"

First there was only one web page, some crime blog and was very good, then the blog did not have a capacity and moved to a messageboard. Then the admins of this messageboard split in opinion and they moved the followers to two message boards. One of the messaboards was suspecting parents and this is when PJ turned towards the parents.
If they were professional and ignored the internet hearsays IMO they would have been much more successful.

As a freelance journalist he needed people to pay for his stories. Has it not occurred to you that this might tempt a journalist to exaggerate? Exaggerating in a police statement can have unpleasant consequences.

No, you are correct.  Phones had been invented and were in use by the couple on  many other occasions.

My husband and I travel abroad with our work,sometime in different time zones, we still call if we need some comfort or to inform of important events- death of family member as example.  Kate also had supportive parents. Gerry didn't seem too impressed that Kate did this so went onto deny it, on her behalf...
