I always thought that whilst Brian Kennedy had the same surname as Kates Mum that there was no relationship.  That he was just a very rich man (via double glazing) who wanted to help, like Eddie Stobbard did.   Have I got that wrong?

Some Moderators do seem to miss large chunks overnight.  I very rarely do.  My Notification System takes me to where I left off.

I don't know why this happens to them, but they need to get their acts together.  If they wish to Moderate on this Forum then they need to know what is being said all of the time.  Anything less is a bad show.

Yes...Rob started this thread based on information from what i vcan only describe as  a sheer fanatist who beleives maddie was abducted to cover up an investigation into the abduction of  british VIP. he claims Gerry fought with the abductor and that expalins the blood. he claims it asociated with the russians,, death of Diana ...JFK assassination.

I think it was important to follow up on possible sightings.  If someone says they have a photo, I want to see it and check it out.

I complained to Admin about the forum malfunctioning.  If there are 3 threads with "New" posts, when I click on one thread and read it, when I return to the index the other two threads had lost their "New" status.

Something similar happens to me. If I click on the top thread, the other 'new' alerts disappear, whereas if I click on the earliest alert, the others remain.

OK that might explain it.   I also use the technique of opening all the threads up in new tabs, but sometimes I forget. 
But your suggestion is the easiest, from now on I'll work from the bottom of the list.

Nothing wrong with that.  Until someone Deletes a Comment for being Off Topic when The Thread is already way Off Topic.

I am not always happy with the Unwritten Rule that Moderators should avoid Deleting the Comments of other Moderators.  But don't test my patience on this.  I am not very nice when I have had enough.

I have never used this system.  My Email Notifications take me to where I left off, although I always scroll back up a bit just in case.

Why do you not have Email Notifications, Rob?  It is so easy.  So, your InBox gets a bit full sometimes, but it isn't difficult to deal with that.

I mean, do you take this job seriously?  Or is it just a bit of hit and miss.

No, I don't mind Rob's naivety.  He does have a more kind side to his nature, which is more than can be said for some.
