Was it ignored by the police?

That her statement was taken just days after the disappearance seems to suggest otherwise and if you look through the files there are several mentions of her sighting and the activity surrounding it.
According to her father yes it was.  Why would the police even bother to investigate it if “common sense” is all that is required to tell us the guy wasn’t involved in Madeleine’s disappearance?

Yes, you're right. Quite why I thought 5.9 feet equated to 5'9" I don't know.
Anyway, here's a photo of CB taken approx. 5 weeks before Madeleine disappeared.
And he could have had a haircut shortly after the photo was taken.

Has it been established that Ney was even in Portugal in 2007 ?

Who?

I’m afraid according to the references to her evidence in the official files it was investigated as far as was humanly positive. Perhaps you could suggest what else the police could have done?

Is this the article you are referring to? Did you notice the inaccuracies?

Brietta posted on 10/04/2022 “But whether or not that is the reason behind the delay I am certain that Brueckner's trial is going to take place.”

Let’s count the months, shall we?

Do you have cites for the investigation into Tasmin’s sighting please?  Yes Tasmin’s father said the police were far more interested in other suspects including the McCanns to pay too much interest in hers.  As he was lthere at the time (aand still lives there I believe) I suspect he is better placed to know how seriously the police took his daughter’s statement than you.  In any case if common sense should tell us the sighting was not relevant then surely you should only have criticism for any police force that wasted any time investigating it?

Blimey, as a self proclaimed scientist is that really all the evidence it takes to prove to you the fact that Ney was in Portugal in 2007. Woman sees a man looking at her strangely in a supermarket and 12 years later recognises his picture in the Sunday Mirror. I couldn’t even recognise the cashier who served me at the Supermarket this weekend.

Christian Brückner?

Nice try, but incorrect. I was wondering who would be the first to say Christian Brueckner. You win first prize.
Congratulations.
