Sorry, but how do you know she wasn't questioned again and hasn't placed Bruckenr at 5a on the day?

Because if Wolter had been able to put Brueckner at 5a on the 3rd he’d have been arrested by now.

What if she’d said she was 60-80% sure it was him?

I’m still waiting for Faithlilly to provide cites to the specific parts of the files that demonstrate the huge effort the PJ put into trying to identify and rule out (or in) the man Tasmin saw. What do you think about it  Rob?

I'd rather not honestly.  I'm at the end of my McCann research.  I need a period of time to refresh.  But I see the issue of trying to keep on topic difficult.

IMO Tasmin was just a young girl caught up in a circus not of her making. She was completely honest in what she saw but it is more likely than not that her sighting had an innocent explanation....Redwood definitely thought that it was a possibility.

But it still should have been investigated properly.   You have not provided any evidence that the PJ made any attempt to trace and eliminate (or rule in) this man so he remains a potential lead - whether or not this has been picked up by the German investigation remains to be seen but as there are similarities between the description and their suspect one would hope so.  Is there really anything more that needs to be said on this subject?

It was investigated properly and you have no evidence that it wasn’t. The basis of your assumption seems to be ‘well, they didn’t find him’. I have pointed you time and time again to the PJ files where there are numerous mentions of Tasmin’s sighting and the investigation surrounding it but the facts don’t seem to be of a concern to you...your choice.

Of course we don’t know that OG or the PJ has traced and eliminated Tasmin’s sighting....perhaps after the Crimewatch programme. What we do know is that after 13 years and investigations by the PJ, SY and the Germans nothing has come to light which suggests Tasmin’s sighting was anything other than an ordinary man going about his business.

So your cite is "read the files".  Nice one.  I will remember that next time I'm asked for a cite.  All I'm asking for is evidence that Tasmin Sillence's father is completely mistaken and that the sighting was exhaustively investigated as I would hope any police force would do in similar circumstances.  How did they go about it?  Who did they speak to?  Did they show the photofit to locals?  Was there an appeal for information?  If it's in the files then supply the cites to the specific pages and I will never mention it again.

As you don’t know the answer to these questions how do you know that the sighting wasn’t investigated thoroughly? A statement was taken and an efit  produced....everything else would be covered by judicial secrecy so I’m not sure how even Mr Sillence would know. As I said the evidence is in the files...if you care to look....though I have the feeling that you’re not really interested in the truth.

I have yet to be convinced that the Mr Sillence identified by a newspaper is the father of Tasmin Sillence. He certainly has contacts to the Algarve;

Once again you have failed to provide any cite apart from "look at the files".  There's no evidence that the police made any attempt to trace this individual is there?

It was a man standing at a wall...how do you expect them to investigate it further than they did?

On page 800, the interview with TASMIN MILBURN SILENCE is presented, who saw on two occasions and on several other days, an individual observing the apartment from which MADELEINE disappeared. A photo-fit was created based on the witness' indications . . . diligences were performed which led to the identification of MICHAEL ANTHONY GREEN, who was the target of diverse diligences without incriminatory results, pages 632 to 726 of Volume III, Appendix VI. Beyond this individual, there were other diligences performed at this level, also without useful results for the investigation, as is explained throughout Appendix VI.

Still on Appendix VI, pages 504 and in the following, it was investigated a situation relative to two individuals, NEIL BERRY and RAJINDER BALU (complementary inquests requested in the letter rogatory), specifically relative with the first one, whose information was crossed with the above aforementioned witness, TASMIN SILENCE, namely to what concerns the photo-fit, having this one made clear that it was not that same individual.

There you go.....the man Tasmin saw was identified so you can rest easy.

So the man she saw was Michael Anthony Green, and this was confirmed by Tasmin Sillence was it?  Was he waiting for a lift to work then?

I’m sure it was....I have no evidence to suggest otherwise. Do you?

Yes here's my evidence - the fact that according to her father she is still traumatised by the sighting ( presumably because she believes that she saw Madeleine's abductor) would tend to suggest that the police did not consult with her, did not get her to identify Martin Green and therefore could not have properly eliminated her sighting https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11805709/portuguese-police-ignore-statement-madeleine-mccann/#:~:text=Gordon%20Sillence%2C%2061%2C%20said%20his,lurking%20outside%20the%20McCanns'%20flat.
