It's just another excuse to pour scorn on HCW and slur him and the German police IMO, because whatever happens we must not suspect them of having any credibility whatsoever wrt the McCann case.

It's already been established by the Met that there was a window of opportunity for the abduction to have occurred so it would be down to FF at trial to explain why there's no possibility that his man could have taken advantage of that window.

Could?

but there was an open door and no marks on the window or walls to evidence anyone went in or out of that window. Did Jane not notice the window and curtains blowing as she passed. what about the other  male visitor- who had a wee look around the apartment apparently- he never noticed that either?  Oh Fascinating stuff to come out in a trial if there was one.

Yup, and if certain witnesses declined to appear in a German Court, how might that reflect on the validity of any trial?
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.
I gather the facts, examine the clues... and before   you know it, the case is solved!"

Or maybe not -

OG have been pushed out by the Germans who have reserved all the deck chairs for the foreseeable future

If it ever gets to court it will be becaise of overwhelming and incontrovertible evidence that CB was involved.  I think the German conviction rate is in the high 80s if I’m not mistaken.  The chances of the McCanns coming to CB’s rescue are less than zero imo.

First I don't see why they they wouldn't give evidence if asked ans secondly everything depends on what evidence HCW has

Interesting article about miscarriages of justice in Germany.

"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

So now, not content with slurring HCW and the BKA, you’re going for the entire German Justice system.  I’m amazed you haven’t mentioned the Nazis yet.

The link was in answer to the claim that the German state had an 80% conviction rate which was , in itself, off topic but I don’t have a problem if it’s removed. The point’s been made.
