I have never met  Sandra Lean, but I assume she is convinced of his innocence, and is willing to put her reputation on the line because she is appalled at the thought of a young man having been wrongly convicted.  I can't say whether she is right or wrong, but I admire her for what she has done.

You may not know this but Sandra Lean was also convinced of the innocence of two other women killers and they were Simon Hall and Adrian Prout. Both later confessed to being guilty after innocence campaigns were raised on their behalf.

So you can see that Sandra Lean has an unblemished record for picking false innocence cases.

I would say convinced is a bit strong.  He changed his stance apparently after doing a bit of digging which didn't sit too well with Mrs H but he was vindicated in the end.

That isn’t what John says. He posted that he was giving advice to both parties and involved in both campaigns. Nothing wrong with that but please could you at least try to be fair?

What is the actual percentage of success in such cases? 
Anyone who ever takes a case to court or appeal or gets involved in an MOJ?

That is a question for which I won't pretend to have an answer. The entire miscarriage of justice world is full of both genuine and false flag cases. As I understand it this very forum was originally created in order to dispel false claims being made about the Bamber case. It has grown from there and must be one of the biggest in the UK.

Successes in overturning convictions can also be deceiving. Take the Barry George and the Simon Jenkins convictions. Both have had their convictions overturned but not found innocent and denied compensation.

Successful appeals are like hens teeth, very scarce.

Yes, I was aware that she turned out to be wrong about the above cases.

However, many people could make the same mistakes, and probably did.  Some of these cases are by no means clear cut. IMO.

I think she is in the wrong business. She always was a poor judge of character imo.

That’s why IMO unless you are 100% certain a person is innocent you shouldn’t get involved in trying to reverse the legal rulings.  I really don’t see how SL can be certain LM is innocent and if she’s not then she has to consider the possibility that she is trying to help a violent murderer overturn his sentence.  Imagine if she’d be successful in the other two cases!
