No, I'm saying that Amaral isn't interfering with it.

Really?

Yet another "friend" who is convinced of Brueckner’s guilt without even seeing the evidence against him. With friends like his, who needs enemies eh? Does he even have one person who knows him who has gone on record to state they think he is innocent?...Another box ticked IMO.

The only vocal support for his innocence appears to come from those who have never met him. Go figure.

It's more news-worthy to have someone denouncing him than defending him.
Maybe more money in it  too.
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.
I gather the facts, examine the clues... and before   you know it, the case is solved!"

Or maybe not -

Trial by media is more newsworthy, wonder what any defence counsel would make of it.

That's the spirit. Thank goodness he can rely on you guys to protest his innocence.

Sounds like everyone who actually knew him though reckons he was more than capable of what he's being accused of. Not exactly a ringing endorsement of his profile IMO.

I have to say that I agree, Barrier.

I wonder if a good defense team could use it to swing the result of the case in Court.

It is said that Brueckner has a susprisingly expensive quality team behind him.  Where did he get the money for that?  Who would try to bail him out and why? *%6^

He has engaged quite a high profile criminal lawyer who I don't think will come cheap.

Who either must be getting paid or who must be acting pro bono.  If the former - in the premise of 'following the money' one wonders who is lifting Brueckner's bill.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

Hadn't read your post before posting mine.  But my thoughts exactly, Sadie.

As is other expert witness testimony.

That is not true. Other expert testimony is usually backed by robust scientific evidence.

With out scientific evidence in this case there are not going to be many expert witness's called, it'll all be down to who is the more believable, his ex mates blabbing to the  press won't count.

A photo could prove death was not in the apartment...but at the hands of paedophiles

So many conspiracy theories.

Yes there are;  almost all emanating from the source who put it on record that he started with them before breakfast on the morning after Madeleine's disappearance.  Which incidentally dictated the direction of travel for the rest of the investigation with the short diversion afforded to Murat.

It is interesting that two likely suspects did not receive the attention they perhaps merited until many years after the event.
They were not eliminated from the inquiry or even looked for apparently.
Montiero - a man with a record whose name did not appear on the list of former employees and which wasn't picked up upon until the Portuguese reopened the case in 2013.
Brueckner - a known paedophile and a man who fitted descriptions of persons seen around 5A prior to the abduction, who seems to have been ignored until Operation Grange picked up on him initially at around the same time.

It is interesting that Amaral is assiduously pursuing more lies and conspiracy theories while attempting to slot Brueckner into the 'patsy' box formerly reserved for Monteiro.

The meeting at the McCanns' house in Rothley, Leicestershire, is understood to have taken place several days before Met Police revealed details about the suspect who is in jail for raping an American pensioner.

The UK officers told them there was no concrete proof that Maddie was dead, despite the fears of the German police.

A family friend said: "It was the conversation they always needed to have but have always feared.

"They were told everything from the points of view of all three forces - British, German and Portuguese. It was a very emotional meeting and lots of tears later shed."

The suspect refuses to co-operate with police and, as yet, they do not have enough evidence to charge him.

A source close to the German police investigation said: "The suspect is saying nothing to officers so Kate and Gerry could be left in limbo for months, which is agonising for them."

It is understood German police were shown photos or video of Maddie's body or given a graphic account of how7

The McCann friend said: "Kate and Gerry wanted to know every single detail no matter how painful and harrowing.

"They have been told everything but sworn to secrecy and were told not to share any news, even with close family."

Covered all bases, also at that meeting OG told them there was no evidence Madeleine was dead. That , 21 months on is still the case.
