Looks like you'll be able to get that lavender file back after all, Sadie, when they horse all the crap in the skip.
Meanwhile HCW has bought a pair of white boots, a cap and a whistle for his traffic duty shift on Monday. PEEP PEEEEP.

Maybe if their remit had been a little wider OG may have had a little more success.
Brietta posted on 10/04/2022 “But whether or not that is the reason behind the delay I am certain that Brueckner's trial is going to take place.”

Let’s count the months, shall we?

Oh SUCH glee at the prospect of the investigation into Madeleine's disappearance coming to an end without resolution - who'da thunk it. @)(++(*

Not very amusing.  Is that the best you can do?

It doesn't matter.  Fifteen years?  Roll on.  There are some very sick people out and about.

I'm glad you recognise that. Nice to see you back by the way.
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.

Or maybe not -

Progress of sorts.  You agree Brückner should have been investigated.  Obviously the PJ didn’t think he was worth pursuing despite all the boxes he ticks (many more than Murat) and so he wasn’t investigated.  That’s a big failure on their part IMO.  The Germans are doing everything they can to put that right.  It remains to be seen whether or not they have the right man, but investigating him is absolutely the right thing to be doing, as you yourself have now agreed.  Good.

Unlike some, I'm not convinced the PJ were aware of CB. He didn't live in Luz, he wasn't seen in the vicinity and no-one suggested his name to the police at the time. His criminal record in Portugal was for theft.

Why do you think Amaral lied about it then?

I have no idea.
It seems a very strange thing to do, especially as it reflects so badly on him and the PJ don’t you think?  Or do you think he’s so stupid he didn’t realise it would and lied about it because he thought it would make the
police look really on the ball?
Do you think there’s any likelihood he’s actually telling the truth about this?

He could have told the truth, lied, been misinformed, I have no idea. All I know is that CB's name doesn't appear in the released files.

The names of the majority of the paedophiles on the police radar at the time were never in the CD containing the files given to journalists.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

Nevertheless there are details in there of people reporting child sex offenders and paedophiles.

There’s no way of knowing exactly  what is missing though.  Of course the PJ will know if Amaral is lying or not, I wonder what they make of their erstwhile colleague and his campaign of deliberate misinformation about this case.
