Not very amusing.  Is that the best you can do?
Funny thing happened on the way here.....take my mother in law.....
Watch those hand gestures on traffic duty HCW, might be misconstrued by some of the older generation.

Twenty four pages of box ticking but it seems as if evidence is going to be the deciding factor.

From an original cast of thousands in Luz at the time, the list has been whittled right down to one, if we use the stoic, simple supporter criteria.
It would appear that the checklist needs some work, guys.
Perhaps start by having a wee box for all possibilities and working from there, given that the 'evidence' precludes very little.

It always was... Didn't you realise that.

You think the German investigation is over... We will soon see who is right

I don’t remember reading that the German investigation was being wrapped up, wishful thinking on the part of some perhaps?

It's not over. It will never be over. It's gone too far now, they've got to follow through, so to speak (although some may suggest they already have).
It's damage limitation now. The hand wringing behind the scenes happened a few months ago, now they'll be looking to see how the extricate themselves and throw HCW under the wagon without it being too obvious.
The distancing themselves will be in full swing - 'he's not a real policeman', 'he misrepresented the notes we gave him', 'he went off reservation', 'we think he's Stasi', 'he's a valued member of staff, but he's being moved to the Crayon Division', 'we've removed all sharp objects, corks on forks, all that'.
That said, they can simply sit on it forever. I mean literally stick it in a lavender box file, stick it on a shelf, then the shelf catches fire - but they can maintain he did it ad infinitum. Bingo, as they say in Manheim.
All in my MHBEO, of course.

It will be interesting to see how long sceptics such as yourself can continue to deny reality

I know you're reading this.
If you don't not not reply, that's confirmation.

This 'story' that was picked up by the media, where do we think it originated? The ether? A bored junior hack at lunchtime over a few pints? No, it's a bad news leak. A mood barometer. Check the 'Outragemeter' results and see how we couch the next announcement. There's no money for OG to continue, but the new Commissioner wants to let everyone down gently - turns out he needn't have worried, everyone's delighted that they'll be putting the money to decent use for a change - about 99.7% of everyone - like giving old folk (including most of the people here) their tenners back for fuel payments.
But there's a dual purpose. The Met don't want HCW's stink and never have. Two birds in the bush makes Hansie a dull stone rolling moss.

There is one piece of truth in the story.. Grange is closing.

I'm sceptical of CB being gone and done it. I've said it from the outset and here we are, nearly two years later - TWO YEARS. 'Gathering evidence'? How much evidence can possibly be gleaned from a manky flannel wrung dry?
This is not a massive, global, multifarious, ever pivoting crime scene; it's a tiny, sparsely furnished, 2 star apartment in a sleepy Portuguese erstwhile fishing village. There's nothing left to learn. No, I take that back, there is literally one thing left to learn - the identity of the person who rang CB that night. And I've also said this before, the Germans invented investigation and surveillance, if they can't find this guy on the phone, nobody can, apart from the FBI perhaps.

Apparently so, but I think the sceptics should wait and see what the outcome is before crowing too loudly about it, they’re liable to look even more foolish in due course.

So despite this story originating from 'a source close to a police officer's nana', you agree that this is a leaked mood barometer?
