I wonder if the 'Brueckner did it' narrative would have worked in the rape case without the forensic evidence? It seems they're reluctant to test it in court in the Madeleine case as they have no forensics to help them.

Rape is a notoriously difficult crime to prove.

Even with Brueckner's pubic hair being recovered from the scene of the crime he appears to be sticking with the cat excuse.

If Ms Behan's rape is brought to trial which I think it will be ~ I would be surprised if the argument on her behalf might not be bolstered by the boxes ticked in the crime against her when compared with the boxes ticked in the crime against Mrs Menkes who - told police: “I felt that he enjoyed torturing me.’’  and put her through what she believed was a “methodical procedure” which was “long and planned”. https://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/madeleine-mccann-prime-suspect-enjoyed-22140786

The outrages were remarkably similar and I'm sure those similarities will give the judges evidence worth pondering about.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

The PJ had forensic evidence but no suspect. Thanks to Brueckner's 'friends' (after many years of silence) the Germans had one.

According to Mrs Behan - the PJ did not look for a suspect.
“I had little hope over the last 16 years that they would find the man who did this. I was told at the time that I should just be quiet, that if I talked about what had happened I would bring bad publicity to the resort and put off the tourists." https://www.irishtimes.com/news/world/europe/irish-rape-victim-asks-mccann-detectives-to-review-her-case-after-hearing-about-new-suspect-1.4274446

Brueckner wasn't a suspect in The McCann Case either.  Or was he?  You would have to ask Amaral about that.

Criminals certainly seemed to lead a charmed existence mainly due to the ineptitude of the Portuguese police.  As Mrs Behan noted when she heard about the rape of the American woman which mirrored the one suffered by her >

“I think if the police had done their job investigating what happened to me, if this is indeed the same man that attacked the American and abducted Madeleine McCann, they might have prevented the attack on her, and Madeleine would now be at home with her parents.” https://www.irishtimes.com/news/world/europe/irish-rape-victim-asks-mccann-detectives-to-review-her-case-after-hearing-about-new-suspect-1.4274446

It's not a question of liking or not liking your posts - this is a debating forum, for challenging opinion and theories IMO.    What I do like is challenging some of the rubbish I read on here, and all the while you provide it, I will challenge it. Sorry not sorry.

Pubic hair?

Are you saying that you didn't know about the pubic hair?

A single hair, pubic or otherwise sounds a bit dodgy to me, but the court accepted it, so that's that.

Indeed. If only McCann had taken greater care of their children.

Hair yes, pubic no.

What is the difference?  It's all hair.  And it was one of Brueckners.
