A brief check would only have shown the current registered owner, who was of no interest at all.  And since The PJ weren't exactly quick off the mark, if they even bothered to check anything, then it probably no longer matters.

Apparently, Brueckner then trailered the Jaguar back to Germany very shortly afterwards.  But didn't give the car to the new registered owner.

I personally don't much care about the Jaguar.  But Brueckner was up to something.  And Brueckner's phone was in Luz that night.  Was he there with it?

OK, I have pointed out the wording on the BKA site about the registration of the jag, how illogical it would be to do such a thing the day after and that Wolters has said the jag was in Germany when Madeleine went missing so lets leave the jag.

Regarding the phone call the wording on the BKA website is also slightly less than definite it says:

"In addition, he was almost certainly using the Portuguese mobile number +351 912 730 680 at the time"

The use of the word almost indicates a lack of certainty in their belief that it was CB on the phone.
How would it hold up in court if they said “We are almost certain it was him on the phone”?

Indeed many a time its been brought up about Redwood being "almost" certain the man JT saw wasn't an abductor turning to mean it could have been an abductor JT saw.

Brueckner will be given an opportunity to answer this.

The question will be, "Was it you who answered your phone?"

If you think that The BKA are stupid then more fool you.

He might not.

And also what if he says no it wasn't me. What happens then.
I have never thought the BKA are stupid.

All Bruckner needs to do is say nothing just like Kate McCann did at the Arguido interview.  If the Germans have no evidence that he killed Madeleine then I'm afraid questioning Bruckner will achieve nothing.
A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.

Which imo is why its where its at just 3 months shy of 2 yrs  of being the prime suspect.

But it doesn’t really cover any tracks really does it? The records will show Brueckner was the registered keeper on the 3rd of May 2007. It's hardly a fool proof plan.

You do know what Wolters has said about the Jag.

Mr Wolters played down the significance of the Jaguar despite Scotland Yard appealing for information about it.
He said the car was in Germany when Madeleine went missing and information about it was released only to jog memories. 'The vehicles are not of direct interest for the Madeleine case,' he said.

It probably would have taken a week to actually process, so it may still have shown up as him being the owner / keeper.

I have never insulted Redwood.  I just think he didn't understand what he was talking about.

The German Court of Judges might think differently.

Much longer than that surely, that's when he was 'outed'

Well 2013 when the BKA first had a natter with him, they've not said anything to him about Madeleine since so it would seem

This is one reason why they haven’t yet gone to court and were hoping to get more evidence to make it a certainty rather than an almost certainty.
