Indeed we do.  I still haven't thrown my hat into the ring against Brueckner.

Thank you for always remaining relatively pleasant.

Nor me.  I stil haven't thrown my hat into the ring either

But I can see a good many pointers and will keep on looking for more.

One has to admit that there are a few pointers.  But Brueckner might just have Abducted Madeleine and nothing more.

It is all academic to me now.

Something caused Brueckner to do this.  I don't know what it was, but it sounds like panic to me as an almost immediate afterthought.

The new registered owner would have very quickly been out of any frame as he actually was in Germany.

This was the beginning of the whole thing falling apart as far as I can see.  One small and probably unnecessary mistake.  Unfortunately, The PJ didn't spot any of this, including his Jaguar.  It is only now that it has become relevant by what Brueckner did do.

However, Brueckner did do this and he must have had a reason.  It is logged and on record so cannot be argued otherwise.

Hindsight is an exact science but there was a time when a little foresight on behalf of the investigators might have resolved the situation at the time.

I think the failure to check the phone pings at the time is extraordinary bearing in mind the amount of attention concentrated on those of the McCann party.  Maybe they did; because it remains a bit of a mystery why the PJ attempted to speak to Brueckner.
So it had to be that or they were acting on intelligence which we know nothing about.

He definitely had a reason to change the car registration and I would not rely on the timing being coincidental.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

Yep.  Why did The PJ knock on whatever door they thought belonged to Brueckner?  And then never go back or attempt to pursue it?

Amaral has opened a can of his own worms.

Of course in order to preserve the integrity of the PJ it is now incumbent on any sceptic worth his or her salt to doubt that Amaral was actually telling the truth about this particular alleged piece of half-hearted policing.

A bit of this and that will now follow.  If anything follows at all.

Dread Locks.  Cartoons.  And Brueckner was never there.  Which was it?

Apart from this 8pm phone call, is it known if is there any other record of this phone being used on and around that date ?

The dates requested were 2nd, 3rd and 4th May. Only one record featuring Brueckner's alleged number has been mentioned.

I am only interested in why he changed the name of the registered owner from one German National to another, but since it was picked eventually and is now in the hands of The German Authorities, I don't suppose that any significance will have been missed.

Or added to it.

There is no need to add anything.

It’s significant because it adds to Brückner’s way of operating.

I agree Anthro,  not long after he re registered  his car he fled to Germany.

He has a history of committing a crime and running away.

Very sensible if you ask me.  And it did seem to work, at least for a while.

Yet he raped an elderly woman and went back again, hardly running away.

Oh Dear.  That really shouldn't be funny.
