Having verified that Gerry had left the apartment, and seen him down the sterps setting off for the restaurant, the watcher went to the getaway car. Peter

Who is Smithman then?

But you passed your  'theory'  to Scotland Yard didn't you  ?

...  and they think you're wrong,  don't they  ?

Oh, not that theory !   My theory to SY is not basically about what happened at PDL but what happened afterwards and who was behind it. etc.

My theory to SY has not and will not appear on here

They probably have more than  enough theories of their own without encouraging anyone else.

I am not at all sure about that! @)(++(*

I am feeling quite good atm tbh 8(>(( ?{)(**

What are you implying  ?    ...  that Scxotland Yard are spending tax payers money investigating this rich and famous elite bloke you insist has Madeleilne  ?

Don't you think there is a chance Scotland Yard said their polite   "Thankyou for your continued interest in our investigation Mrs Sadie,  we have taken note of your concerns "   ...  just out of politeness  ?    ...   just to stop you pestering them with your  imaginings  ?

I will be disappointed  (  but not surprised  )  if this post is deleted

I do not understand why any mention of the fact that you are clearly a fantasist is forbidden here  ...  I mean it's not  'abuse'  ...  it's  the  truth  ,  and we all know it   (  even the p. ros,  who only indulge you because your ravings are not  'harmful'  to the McCanns  )

You are being unfair to Jane Tanner

There is no reason to dismiss her drawing in favour of Jeremy Wilkins   ....   unless,  of course,   you are taking into account that he is an  entirely independent witness   (  which may,  indeed,   be reason enough to to think him a more reliable witness  I suppose  )

Sorry I am upsetting you..  As an old friend, I would have thought you would have been happy for me 8((()*/ 8**8:/:

Sadie, should you have actually done something to assist the resolution of the mystery of Madeleine Mccann, I will be amongst the first to congratulate and thank you.

Until you have something more than a feeling of smugness though, maybe it would be better to kept it to yourself.

Where's Sadies theory? The watcher went to the getaway car. Where was the car? I presume Madeleine was inside the getaway car? What time was the abduction? Tannerman was the abductor?

Smithman carrying a child in his arms checked his watch after passing the Smith family and the time was 10:03. Both are still unidentified 10 years later.

Try reading it Pathfinder.  There is a whole thread .... way back about april /may last year.

You dont have to.  Only if you wish of course.... and it is open to sensible criticism.  In fact I see that as the way forward , that we sensibly criticize upon and advance the thinking if each other.

We all have knowledge, much of it common knowledge, but some is only known by a specific person.  Sharing of this knowledge could advance the search.  Same with ideas of what happened.  Much will be wrong but some will probably be right.

I like Pegasus' approach so long as s/he is prepared to modify if one of us finds a hole in his thoughts.

If you are truly interested in finding Madeleine that is the way forward guys.

But you must be prepared to ditch long held and entrenched ideas ... such as the dogs proved anything.  It's a myth.

They didn't.

Lets look at what occurred on the basis that the man Jane saw was actually carrying Madeleine.

Gerry claims to have gone into the apartment and had a visual check on all three sleeping children, goes to the loo and then leaves closing the patio door behind him. He closes the child gate, walks down the steps and closes the street gate before meeting Jez.  Jane passes them both and a few seconds later spies a guy in front of her carrying a child.

It would it have taken Gerry about 20 seconds to move from the patio to the encounter with Jez.  If someone had been watching the apartment in order to give the 'all clear' signal then Gerry emerging onto the street would have been the point at which this would have been given.

Unfortunately, we don't know how long Gerry and Jez were chatting before Jane passed them but lets assume about a minute.  That therefore allows the abductor just over a minute to get into the apartment, open the window and shutter, lift Madeleine and exit va the front door only to then be seen by Jane.

But is this feasible?
Assuming one minute, agreed, that is tight John.

Assuming they had been chatting for say 2 or 3 minutes, then it is very plausible.   In fact, in a way, it could be a pointer to the abduction having taken place immediately Gerry left the apartment.  Cos as soon as they thought that he had gone, they would get on with it.  Two minutes would be ample with a well planned abduction.

IIRC Jez thought they chatted for 3 to 5 minutes.  Please correct me if I have remembered wrongly.

Where is Innocentman in this scenario? He was walking across the top of the street according to Jane Tanner. Do we have a conga line of strange men carrying sleeping/sedated/dead children now?

I have Benny Hill music running around my head....

Just doing a little reading back,  and I noticed that  this thread   (  which was an excellent work in progress that was a credit to the forum  )   has been  'diminished'

Why is the final picture no longer available to view  ?    ...  it took us ages  (  and much relevant debate  )  to get to that point

John  ?

The problem about using image share sites is that the images are deleted after a while if they aren't viewed.  Fortunately, I keep all the images on the server so they can be reposted if necessary.  This was the missing image and the one which most agreed represented what Jane and Jez saw that night.

Thankyou pathfinder.  Pity there is such a discrepancy in size.  There never used to be.

THe upper image is the drawing by Jez which goes with my long post above, where the red cross is.  It shows Gerry and Jez clearly positioned on the alleyway corner.

I have adjusted the two plans from the originals as you requested Sadie.

This was the layout which you agreed best depicted both Jane and Jez' statements as to where they were stood that night.  Gerry would never have seen Jane and Jez didn't know her at that point.

Thankyou John.  Being pernicity I actually think from both Jezes drawing and JT's description, thta they were a metre or so down the road, but I am happy with that.

THanks for the trouble.

Now what has happened to my big post?  THe multicoloured one with the Cutting Edge video and relevant times.worked out?  Can you find that, John?   ....  or has it been whooshed?

Have to get supper now.  Byee for now
