Was it the proof or the will that was lacking?
The proof is certainly lacking, as was the will to actually investigate the case thoroughly.  Not sure what point you’re trying to make but if there was any proof of parental involvement then they would have been arrested and tried.

Criminal cop Amaral and his criminal cohort did his level best to set at least two innocent people up without there being a shred of evidence against them.
Worked in Joanna's case where it was tried and tested.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

Especially in Portugal.

Not to mention the way in which a corrupt cop stuck his oar into the German criminal investigation in a wrecking ball endeavour which was nothing but a pack of lies from start to finish.

Not if the investigation was as incompetent as has been suggested. If the evidence wasn’t gathered appropriately at the time then who knows what was missed that might suggest the parent’s involvement.

That was so stupid it was almost unbelievable that Amaral could try such idiocy.

One has absolutely no idea who the latest cretin pontificating about Madelene McCann might be.

But he's not too bright is he.

Madeleine Mcann's case
DOES NOT NEED TO BE RE-OPENED ... BRITAIN OPENED IT and PORTUGAL RE-OPENED IT IN 2013

One has absolutely no idea who the latest cretin pontificating about Madelene McCann might be.

Not very nice words really....considering that is what we all do on here including you ..give our opinions

None of us have any real proof of what happened ....including you -

pontificate. is what your post has just done...by thinking you have the right to call them cretins

Madeleine Mcann's case
DOES NOT NEED TO BE RE-OPENED ... BRITAIN OPENED IT and PORTUGAL RE-OPENED IT IN 2013

and then did this.

A detective tipped to head up the Madeleine McCann probe was warned he would be ordered to prove she was abducted and ignore other leads.

Colin Sutton said a high-ranking friend in the Met called him and warned him not to lead the case when Scotland Yard announced it would get involved in 2010.

The source warned that he would be tasked with proving her parents Kate and Gerry were innocent and ignoring any alternatives to the abduction theory, he claims.

It hasnt done any good has it apart from costing millions .and still no further on.

Exactly.

Especially when crime scene was destroyed when mcc let 20+ in apartment.

refusing to answer questions...one answers questions the other doesn't -

The discrepancies in statements.... to name but a few.

You could say that about literally any investigation in which suspects are questioned and then released without further charge.  Anyway, are you suggesting the investigation was incompetent because that may very well explain why Christian Brückner wasn’t apprehended and questioned sooner, no?

Don’t forget the smiling outside the church when the balloons were released and the photo of Maddie wearing lipstick.
Question: if Gerry McCann had found Madeleine dead in the apartment after falling off the sofa or balcony and carried her body through town afterwards what sort of forensic evidence proving this do you think might have been destroyed by the 20+ people walking through the apartment that night?

It is just as feasible.

Never been anywhere near Ampleforth in my life!  Not from a Catholic family either!  In fact I've only now just looked it up and wish I'd had the opportunity and good fortune to be educated there...

https://www.ampleforthcollege.org.uk/

Fabulous place isn't it?   Do they still do the Hare Coursing?   Do they use fox hounds or beagles?

And even better now since it is co-educational.   Too many peadophile monks there before ... and some lay people too.
Your Dad went there too, you were both very lucky.  He was a friend and contemporary, IIRC of Basil Hume, so no wonder Headmaster/ Abbott/ Cardinal Basil took a special interest in you.

As for not being Catholic, how come you chose an Italian Catholic Priest/Monk as your avatar?   Members may remember your avatar of a ?medieval? Priest against a round window.    At the time you said that he was the man you most aspired to be like.   When I produced a source for the avatar photograph, strangely it immediately disappeared off the internet and there appears to be no trace of this man any more.
I wonder why?

I hope that you are improving.   The Gen seemed very worried for you.

Why didn't the Police cordon it off?   Why did the Police take so long to respond; they were called much earlier.   It is on record.   Why did Amaral leave and go home without visiting the flat?   According to reports, he never visited it, whilst the Mccanns were there.

Am I correct in remembering that he personally never even met Kate or Gerry?   If I have misremembered, please correct me.   I do not want incorrect information left standing.

WHY HAS A BIG PORTION OF MY POST ABOVE BEEN WIPED ?   Is someone frightened of the truth?
