Yet Jane identified him as the man she saw carrying a child away from 5a. If you discard every other facet of this case, that should be enough for the man on the Clapham Omnibus to reasonably conclude that, either Brueckner cannot possibly the perpetrator, or Jane lied.

Yes dear, that is why the German police with the cooperation of the Portuguese police are currently searching areas associated with their prime suspect in PdL.  Because they are of course keen to spend large amounts of German tax payers money on keep the abduction myth alive, obviously.  If anything or anyone is ripe for mockery it?s people who simply cannot grasp what is the only logical and plausible reason for Madeleine?s disappearance, ie that she was abducted by a stranger.  And extra dollops of mockery for those who sincerely believe that Burnt Salamander is the reason why the current searches are going on and that the softly softly monkey is tick-tocking once again.
