I believe the Gaspar statements were made public when the Portuguese files were made public and that was months after Amaral had been removed from the case.

I also believe that the statements were sent to the PJ from the British police after Amaral had been removed from the case but I’m willing to be corrected if that’s not so.

It’s obvious that Katerina Gaspar believed that the gesture was disturbing enough to report to the police. Why she didn’t do it at the time? Perhaps she was cowardly and put her friendship with the parents above taking action. Perhaps she thought she had too little evidence to report it? She certainly made sure that her daughter wasn’t alone with Payne again so that says a lot.

Do you honestly think that David Payne was bathing all the children?  It was more likely that the fathers were bathing their children.  So I don't know where the idea came from that David Payne was going to bathe her child.  I'm wondering if things have been added to her statement.
