Can you point to where it says that in one of those reports. I must have missed it.

This is cultish behavior- opponents must be scapegoated even when the accusations are baseless.

No one is being scapegoated. It is perfectly clear from the public's comments, the same public that will in time be voting for or against Mitchell, that his choice of clients, the McCanns included, have seriously damaged his credibility.

That's politics for you.

We shall see in May 2014.

it is surprising that no mention is made here of his role as McCann spokesman - for which he is surely most well known

Surely only to people who follow the case avidly on the internet?     IMO that excludes the vast majority of the GBP.
The notion that innocence prevails over guilt – when there is no evidence to the contrary – is what separates civilization from barbarism.    Unfortunately, there are remains of barbarism among us.    Until very recently, it headed the PJ in Portimão. I hope he was the last one.

I'm really not bothered whether Clarence Mitchell's  'career'  is prospering or not ...  I think him an odious ambulance chaser personally  ...  but he has  been  conspicuous by his absence lately,  hasn't he  ?

Or have I just missed his appearances on TV during the past few weeks  ? (  which have been pretty eventful for the McCanns   )

... remove comment ...

Or is he distancing himself perhaps,  now that public opinion affects him,  and his ambition,   personally

On the 1st of September 2008 he was contracted by Freud Communications, a PR company funded by Matthew Freud, great-grand son of Sigmund and husband of Rupert Murdoch's daughter. He was supposed to go on spinning for the McCanns when necessary. On which basis was he paid then ?

On the 6th of June 2009 the lawyer Ed Smethurst confirmed that, in a context of reduction of expenses, Mr (double glass) Brian Kennedy and his company, Latium, stopped paying Mr Mitchell's fees (75,000 £/year), as the reputation of the McCanns wasn't threatened any more. In fact BK had stopped paying CM when the case was shelved, without however renouncing to involve himself in the struggle to search for Madeleine (Times in october 2008). After BK stopped paying him in July 2008, CM started to be paid by Madeleine's Fund (30,000 £/year), though he didn't have much to do, the UK media being very careful since the Express group was carterrucked.

So Mitchell has taken £120,000  from the publicly  donated  'Find' Madeleine Fund'  so far  ?

Is that true Anne ?
I don't remember from where I collected those informations (I wrote down a note in French a long time ago) but not in tabloids for sure. Of course this scheme might have changed after 2009. Redblossom must know that.

Is that true  ?

Clarence Mitchell has been,  for the last six years,   (  and continues to be  )  employed by Brian Kennedy  ?

No. He was paid by Kennedy until he took up employment with Freud; from then he has worked pro bono as agreed with his new employers. This continued when he moved on to his current post.

Interesting. Please could you post the evidence for the above claim ?

I think you'll have to wait for Xmas, Faithlilly, when chimneys become entrances for presents, santa claus and other nurses in disguise..
