I was with you up until the point you mentioned the McCanns and their only chance for resolution.  They had that opportunity way back in 2007 but decided to put two fingers up to the Portuguese investigation when they refused to cooperate.

Like you I didn't know a great deal about Sonia Poulton so I've been doing a bit of catch up.

To say I am underwhelmed is putting it mildly (I've just slogged through the transcript of an interview she conducted for Icke TV).

I would say if you are waiting for a "great" work which might give some definitive indicators as to what happened to Madeleine McCann ... the promised documentary is not going to be it.

As far as I am concerned the only chance Madeleine and her family have for resolution lies with the current police investigation being conducted by the PJ and the Met ... and we should throw all our weight and good wishes for success behind that.

Just what is the point of this documentary anyway?
The only innovation is going to come from the police investigation not a wannabe.

But I said book. I'm not expecting much from her film; partly because I think she's going to be wasting time talking about trolls and dossiers (instead of Sky News, and their allies), and also because she'll probably also be mentioning some of the same things R Hall spent way too much time discussing in his videos.

But I don't think films can come anywhere near doing what books do anyway, though they will of course attract a larger audience.

There has been much talk of hypocrisy on this thread but what is really hypocritical is that the McCann's credibility is considered in some quarters to be bolstered by the 'deep and sustained depression' that they have claimed they are suffering yet those same individuals consider Sonia Poulton's brushes with depression undermine hers.

Perhaps someone can explain that to me ?

This woman is nothing more than an attention seeker,   who would do anything by the looks of it to make herself and name get known.    Unfortunately she is really going the wrong way about it.

The McCanns' claim that Amaral's book hurt them is clearly bolstered if "deep and sustained depression" was in fact suffered by them, however such an afflicted mental state does not automatically confer credibility on one as an objective and incisive documentary film maker, something that the McCanns have never claimed to be.  In any case, I don't think anyone here (apart from Davel perhaps) has cited Poulton's alleged depression as a reason for not taking her video seriously have they?  So, no hypocrisy there dear Faithlilly, unless you believe Davel speaks for all us Faithful?

She's promised the Unfaithful the Untold Story of Madeleine McCann - I fear they are in for a major disappointment, but maybe they will be distracted by the unveiling in the video of the RL name of a McCann supporter to get their teeth into instead.  It will be some consolation and give them someone to ridicule and stalk for a few months - and if the McCann supporter has a job then maybe they can try and get them the sack as well.  Such fun!
