Boulder police put out miss information to the public from day one.

It was reported that no footprints lead to the house on snow-covered ground, other reporters found that snow around the doors of the house had been cleared away.

Crime scene photos show no snow on most of the yard. Only the front yard had some old snow and all of the sidewalks was clear of snow.

White pine tree cut down that summer with odd cut marks.

There was a pine tree that had been trim up to 8 ft.
The tree was 20 ft tall or more.
This tree was located on the south side of the home near the basement window well.
It has been said that there were knife cuts in the tree up to the height of the deck roof above the dinning room. If the killer use a ice ax, the pick blade would make these cuts as the tool could be use to clime up this pine tree to enter the home on JB level.
This door may not have been lock and has a door that will enter the play area of the 2nd level near JB bedroom.
 The tree had been removed.
Greens from this tree may have fallen into the window well as seen in crime photos as if some one climed this tree.

Where is this tree and does the cuts in the trunk match a ice ax used by the killer?

Shortly after 1:05 pm on December 26, 1996, Detective Linda Arndt asked John Ramsey and his friend, Fleet White to perform another search of the premises.
John Ramsey headed downstairs and had been searching for five minutes when he found JonBenét's body on the floor of a small room called "the wine cellar."

Just above this room was the sun room.

From the chairs in the sun room, one could look through the door opening into the dining room, then out of a window inline next to the pine tree, that has a good view of the drive way as the Ramsey's get back home.
This sun room location also has a view of the front yard with a exit door for a fast getaway if needed.
If this room was use by the killer, then the light must be turn off in this 10 x 12 ft. sun room so not to get seen and notice.
The police found a lamp post disable that morning that would have shine into this sunroom.

Wine Cellar:

The construction of the wine cellar starts with a concrete footing that is barring on the supporting soil.
The footing design is base on the snow loads and the house weights.
The concrete foundation wall set on the wider footing that also supports a brick vineer finish.
The basement floor is poured in place concrete at 4" thick.
The floor above, has mass so the sun enegy can be stored.
The window less room concrete walls was not insulated and had no windows installed.
There will be no outside light coming in from the out side.
The cold and dark room will also be very sound proof.
The killer would have no exit from this location.
The sun room addition was built outside the main house layout.
The six pannel door that it used to enter/exit this room is painted wood panels with a weather stripping at the botton of the door.
This will cause the door to open and close with a little more pressure.
A locking block of wood was installed at the top left side of the door so a child could not open this door.
The basement floor has salts on the surface of the center and outer foundation walls area.
A foot impression would be left if pressure is applied.
The room will also be damp because of the drainage system or lack off.
The floor temp. at 7 ft is 56d F. year roung.
There was no heating system installed below the ceiling for this room.
120 volt electrial outlet was installed on the North wall and a single pole light switch install useing romax wire on the left side of the door.
Note the height of this light switch was less than 48" typ.
Making this hard to locate to turn on the light for this room.
A safe was installed at the time of the installation and was not used for many years.
The room was use for window screens and paint cans, other item too.

John Ramsey told me he did not check every window and door to be lock before they went to the Christmas dinner.

According to some, there were no obvious signs of forcible entry into their residence and the Ramsey's believed that the house was locked when they went to bed.
File information has shown this not to be true.
Up to 7 windows and one doors was unlock and one had been found open.
The experts have noted that the doors could be easy open with out a key and will not show any damage.

What door would the killer use to exit the basement to leave the Ramsey's home after killing Jonbenet?

I was shocked to see that they had found the butler kitchen door, which led to the outside, open.
This was reported by one of our friends when he arrived shortly after six in the morning.
I'd never even noticed that open door as we frantically rushed around making phone calls, and yet there on the police diagram of our home was the note: "Door found open."

The police found this door open, the butler door. This is the closes door to the top of the basement stairs. This path the killer tool would be hard to see from the rest of the house.

The Bedroom:

JB bedroom was not official her's when they first moved in,
It was her sister room but JB like it so much because it has a bathroom and a deck right off the back of the house with a roof over it.
Great place to play with her friends.
Tea Party.
The bed room next to that one over the garage now was called the spair bed room.
PR design it so the sitting chair and the bed coverings match.
She know how to decorat well.
It was noted in the file that that the bottom of the bed shirt was out of place, as if some one small had crawled out from under there.
An rope in a brown paper bage was found on the bed and on one said it was theirs.
Did the killed stay in the room weighting for the right time.
Did the killer open the closet doors in that room and did he look in the bathroom cabnet too.

This room has more than one good view.
Drive way, JB bedroom and hallway next to the stairs.

Was it pineapple?

Filed Report:

G.I. Tract: The esophagus is empty.
It is lined by gray-white mucosa.
The stomach contains a small amount (8-10 cc) of viscous to green to tan colored thick mucous material without particulate matter identified.
The gastric mucosa is autolyzed but contains no areas of hemorrhage or ulceration.
The proximal portion of the small intestine contains fragmented pieces of yellow to light green-tan apparent vegetable or fruit material which may represent fragments of pineapple.
No hemorrhage is identified.
The remainder of the small intestine is unremarkable.
The large intestine contains soft green fecal material.
The appendix is present.

Patsy and John claim not to remember putting this bowl on the table or feeding pineapple to JonBenét .

Lou Smit, a seasoned detective who came out of retirement to assist Boulder authorities with the case in early 1997, originally suspected the parents, but after assessing all the evidence that had been collected, also concluded that an intruder had committed the crime.
That facts show this today DNA.

Convinced that the ransom note had most likely been written at the house, investigators next took writing samples from dozens of people.
No one has been link to the note as of today, but this may change soon experts say.

Rope:

A white cord was tied around her right wrist, a similar cord was tied around her neck.
Seventeen inches of cord hung from the knot, and the end was tied "in multiple loops around a length of a round tan-brown wooden stick'' according to the coroner's photos and report.

Both ends of the duct tape found on her were torn, indicating that it came from a roll of tape that had been used before.

The FBI had determined that the tape had first been manufactured in November 1996 under the brand name Suretape.
The tape had a 40 percent calcium filler in the adhesive, and its yarn/scrim count of 20/10 helped pinpoint that Bron was the tape’s distributor.

Photos suggests that since the "blood-tinged" saliva running down her cheek and onto her sleeve was found under the tape, the tape probably was applied after the crime had started in the basement.
Not applied at the bed room or before entering the basement.

No similar duct tape was found in the house, nor is there evidence that defendants ever used or owned such duct tape.

Physical evidence suggests JBR died between 10 PM and 6 AM; based on the degree of rigor mortis observed, it was likely closer to 6:00 AM than midnight.

The side butler kitchen door is where JB spent lots of her time painting and coloring with her mom.

"The butler's door to the kitchen was found ajar that morning".

Defendants noted that the butler's door was only a short distance away from the spiral staircase where the Ransom Note was found and within plain view of where the pad of paper used for the Ransom Note was found.

This is the most likely exit point that night by the killer.
