Lightning Powder - Latent Print Dusting Kit
 This latent print kit holds one of our assortment of special powders and applicators. It is an efficient kit for the field technician to use at any crime scene to develop prints on difficult surfaces.

One of the most overlooked forms of physical evidence at the crime scene is impression evidence. This is largely due to a lack of specific training in the proper search, collection and preservation techniques and procedures.

 Locating and recovering obvious impressions from mud, dirt or blood are usually accomplished, but dust prints found in many indoor crime scenes are ofter overlooked and many times damaged or obliterated.

 By using the Electrostatic Dust Print Lifter Kit, prints left in the dust of a floor, light soil from a criminal's shoes, or impressions made on overlooked areas such as dusty walls or doors can be recovered.

 The ESP900 Electrostatic Dust Print Lifter consists of a high voltage power supply/control unit, a nickel-plated steel ground plane and a metalized lifting medium. Older electrostatic models required the use of two lifting mats—one positively charged and one negatively charged. Our latest electrostatic lifter uses only one metalized plastic sheet and a metal ground plane. As high voltage is applied to the lifting mat, it takes on a negative charge and the ground plane becomes positive. Any dust present under the mat will take on a positive charge and will then be attracted to the negatively charged collection mat. A dust print that is transferred to the lifting mat will appear as a precise mirror image of the original print and lifts made from rough-surfaced floor tile or irregular flooring of any kind are facilitated using this method.

The killer had JonBenet in the basement for hours, He pick her up from her bedroom and took her to the basement, undress her and redress her. If he did not have gloves on all the time, this tool could have been used to find the fingerprints left on her skin. We can find prints up to a week on dead bodies.

 The Polilight® PL400 is a state-of-the-art forensic light source, designed for operation at the scene of crime or within the laboratory. Its design is based upon the highly successful Polilight models PL6, PL10 and the top of the range PL500.

 Versatile and flexible
 The Polilight PL400 features a special internal filter wheel which holds up to 20 independent filters, allowing for a versatile array of output bands. The Standard Model includes the most commonly requested filters used on site at the crime scene, while the Lab Model includes additional filters for added versatility at the crime scene or in the lab.

If you ask me what brush I use the most and like the most and find the most fingerprints, I will show you this one. Its the best.

Fingerprint brush:

 We use many types, but this one works very well with powers.

 Treat Your Zephyr® Brush Right!
• Keep the brush in its plastic container where it will not rub against other objects in your dusting kit

• Keep your powder in a deep, wide-mouthed container to keep the fibers from being bent on the side of the container when being inserted

• Do not jam the brush into packed powder (shake the jar to loosen the powder first)

• Do not allow the brush to become damp with water, dew, or condensed moisture from cold bottles or cans

• Do not use the Zephyr brush on greasy surfaces
