I'd have voted for him . Who else? Actually,  I think I did.. I think I also voted for T Bl. whom I now think should stand trial for war crimes. Can't win.

Corbyn and Sultana are looking for a name for their new party and are inviting the public to vote for it.
So far my two favourites are “The Fruit And Nut Party” and “Jezbollah”.  Apparently another hot favourite is Votey McVoteface.  You gotta love the British sense of humour!

A lot of (right-leaning) UK people I know voted for Brexit (without trying to discover what it would entail) in a knee-jerk opposition to Corbin, rather than actively voting for an alternative based on perceived/actual benefits.

Which is ironic as Corbyn was privately pro-Brexit.  What I find fascinating is that the party has hardly got off the ground and the ideological split in the party has already been exposed (on X anyway).  You can't be proudly pro-Trans rights and claim to be the party for the Muslim vote at the same time, the two camps are not happy bedfellows (though having said that both camps have an extremely misogynistic element to them).

The prospect of a Corbyn government, amongst my (Conservative) entourage at the time, was what swayed them towards Johnson/Brexit as an anti vote.

Farage and his hedge fund and other cronies must be licking their chops.

The question remains - will it be a Labour / Green / Jezbollah coalition fronted by Angela Rayner at the next election or a Tory / Reform one fronted by our lovable rogue Nigel?  Neither prospect is exactly enticing!

For the moment, I find Starmer trying to do his best. More or less centrist and dealing with international issues as well.

Yes, I agree.  I just wish he’d lose the rabbit in the headlights look and had more of a backbone.

I wouldn't be surprised if certain powers that be are financing both extremes of the political spectrum to create chaos and thus futher weaken the UK.  Divide and rule.

It can't be easy, trying to stay steady on a centrist tight-rope with projectiles hitting you from both sides.
