He might be a prat, but he is a very dangerous one.  And I doubt that he is alone.

Only in so much as I was thinking along the lines of not allowing photos of the twins or where they go to school.

Indeed, if they changed their name and went to school somewhere else (Scotland, or Canada) that might make matters easier.

You don't seem to have heard of much.

I don't crawl around the internet with an obsessive interest in this case. I also do not associate with people who love or hate  the McCanns. I have an independant view of events as presented by various mediums and comment on them. I also challenge and give opinions on the families behaviours.  Like the supporters do to ANYONE who does not toe the Mccann line.

It isn't a question of "empathy".  It is a question of what is right and what is wrong.  There is no way the twins can fail to be adversely affected by the open hostility and lies reiterated day and daily about their family.

Your suggestion that to escape its effect, one remedy would involve changing their names and moving abroad is unworkable for the simple reason there is no escape for anyone who is on the wrong side of the McCann divide from the perpetrators of these outrages.

Utterly risible and predictable the faux outrage at a mother telling that her children are kept up to date with developments in the search for their sibling.

There has been little 'media presence' going on since the end was achieved of having Madeleine's case reopened.

The little girl who all the publicity and media presence has been about.  There are people who have raised various objections to the cost of this, you may have read some of their objections or maybe not??

As the anniversary of Madeleine's abduction with her birthday a few days later approaching ... there is interest ... and while there is, there is an excellent opportunity to ensure people remember exactly what and who all the expense is about.

It is also worth mulling over what 'active' or 'live' means in the context of an investigation.

I don't think we see anyone targeting the twins, I think their privacy should be respected by all sides including the McCs. To bring them to the forefront of publicity smacks of using them as a human shield, i.e. Don't say anything nasty about us or you will upset the twins.

Their privacy is protected,  the McCann's stopped all photographing of the twins years ago.

I  read on line some stupid woman whilst donating to the Amaral fund said her child had donated pocket money to the Amaral fund as the child had been told all about the nasty McCann's and she hoped it would go back to the twins through the children.

Unfortunately you get people like this,  any normal adult would keep what they thought away from their children not poison their minds into believing what they do,  but some are so thick and ignorant they don't do that.

That is quite ridiculous,  but the norm with some,  because they left the children they must be lying about everything.   All the other friends left their children too but no one says anything about them.
