I would like to see a map detailing the route taken from tapas bar to Apartment, apartment to wasteland with associated durations to cover all actions taken at each spot, followed by the route from wasteland to Smith sighting with duration time of this journey. If it can all be achieved in under 5 minutes I will concede that it is physically possible, though remain highly sceptical for a number of reasons namely 1) the implausibility of choosing the high risk strategy of moving a dead body in plain sight not once but twice before 10pm and the lack of a clear motive for making the second move 2) the absurd risk of engaging your wife to raise the alarm minutes before putting your plan in action 3) the illogical decision to look for a second hiding spot in the epicentre of the town?s tourist area when less busy, more secluded options are available in the opposite direction.
It's obviously impossible to know exactly
where Gerry could have secreted Madeleine during his 9pm check before recovering her later & then being seen by the Smiths. But it
is possible. This is where theory & evidence differ. We have
evidence the alarm
could have been raised prior to 10pm (approx), & evidence Gerry
could have been seen by the Smiths around the same, impossible to specify time. The rest becomes theory. Wouldn't you agree that the abductor took a number of huge risks? So, why not Gerry? Was there any other way for him to remove her from the apartment without being seen by members of his own group? Maybe in the middle of the night, but staging an abduction that way left them in the tiny apartment together when the abductor strikes & opens the noisy window. For me, the tapas bar is Gerry's alibi, because he can't be in two places at once. They didn't have access to a vehicle at that time so there's no other way for Gerry to remove her from the apartment than on foot, & it's no use speculating on whether he could have gone this way or that. Follow what the evidence shows. The Gerrylike man took her into town toward the beach. For me there's two possibilities I consider here. 1, he sadly deposits Maddie in a commercial bin large enough. 2, he deposits Maddie somewhere on the dark deserted beach before recovering her later, then sadly depositing her in a commercial bin. (The Mccanns were alone searching during the night) We simply don't know. But what we do know is that there's major discrepancy about the time the alarm was raised together with an alleged sighting of Gerry & Maddie around the same time period. The rest is all theory & can only ever be without further or more accurate evidence.
