We should then expect a statement from Nigel Farage and Rupert Lowe condemning the arrest of ?Heather? Herbert for writing  ?I hope she was handcuffed to the bed as she screamed in agony?  It could almost have been written by Christian Bruckner.

Leave Brueckner alone. He's been free for several months but he hasn't abducted raped murdered molested anybody. The press have almost given up chasing him because there isn't any mileage left in the story really. His life has been thoroughly investigated for I forget how many years, is it more than 6 now? Anyway. He is being a good boy. Just like I always said he was.

I?m exercising my freedom of speech, so I will say what I like about the pockmarked creep.

You're so full of hatred for sex offenders. But you'd rather they weren't sentenced to death if they escalate to intentional rape & homicide? So you do also have some empathy for paedos & murderers. Just in a different way to me. You just need to get past that & realise that society was better when the most evil of dangerous offenders were put to death. We now have DNA evidence & CCTV etc plus digital forensics & so on. We have in most cases now, absolute proof that the offender is the right person. There are certain offenders that will never be safe to release into public again, pose a risk to prison officers &  other inmates & who occupy prison cells, which we are also in a shortage of & cost the state an exorbitant amount for the rest of their lives. The Saudis have the best idea. A nice public beheading or two might encourage observers to think twice before raping & murdering.

I didn't really pay much attention to her but I do know she took really bad advice pleading guilty. She added the caveat 'for all I care' to her words about people burning down illegal immigrant hotels. Me personally, I'd have fought my corner if I were her.

See, you hate him. But he's never laid a finger on you. Anyway. I'm not sure Brueckners offences although serious, meet the threshold for capital punishment. But coversley, if Hazel Behan or Diane M had been armed on the night Briueckner entered their apartments. Without him even laying a finger on them, they would have had the right to kill the intruder in self defence. Justifiable homicide. In some instances, killing is acceptable.

The thing with Brueckner is that the German justice system favours inmate reform. He apparently didn't cooperate during his time inside but this was also made much worse by accusing him of Madeleine's murder. But again, he doesn't appear to be offending now & it could be that age & years of introspection in a solitary cell may have reshaped him.

Under UK law you may use 'reasonable force' if an intruder enters your home. You might well fear for your life in such circumstances without the intruder assaulting you & so lethal force could be justifiable. There was a farmer recently who was cleared of shooting a burglar. Tony Martin, the farmer who killed an intruder years ago, he had shot the young man in the back as he was running away, so it couldn't be deemed reasonable that he feared attack in that immediate  instance.
