What evidence supports Smith?s witness statement given 4 months after the brief encounter that the man he saw was Gerry?  Last time you answered I think you said ?because Madeleine wasn?t abducted? or some such nonsense.

The fact that the McCanns buried the e-fits, Gerry was off searching alone having suggested they split up & search, even though he knew Maddie couldn't have left on her own. That Gerry happened to posses similar trousers to the abductor, & Smithman's Maddie being dressed in the wrong pyjamas. All evidence that support Smith & Wife's belief it was Gerry.

There is evidence via Matt that the alarm may have been raised prior to 10pm.

There is evidence Gerry suggested they split up & search as if she had just wandered off, as per Russells rog, even though Gerry knew Maddie's only means of escape was via the window.

There is evidence Gerry was seen by the Smiths.

He said Kate left, prior to 10pm. Kate, by her own account, was in the apartment only a matter of seconds = Alarm raised before 10pm.

No, that's right. My assessment apparently. Well, my assessment is the evidence, contained within the files. There is evidence alarm before 10pm & evidence Gerry was seen by the Smiths. That's because it is precisely what happened. That's why that evidence exists.

I don't remember seeing them in Kate's book.
