I prefer to trust the call logs. The call logs prove that no one bothered to convey the emergency of the situation for 40 mins. Even though they knew for certain that this was an abduction.

On the 3rd. I reckon she died some time between returning to the apartment from her activities to before the McCanns left for the Tapas. But I can't be sure of the time obviously. All I know for certain is that she was dead. That's why she wasn't moving when the Smiths saw her.

Yes, I agree! If the McCanns were responsible, they had a plan worked out before they left to meet their friends that night, Spam!

I have asked Spam the same question, but obviously he will have a different scenario believing Maddie was already dead by 8.30!

Gerry is the last person to claim that Madeleine was alive & well sleeping in her bed. We can either take his word for it, or you can ask yourself why his 9pm check took an unusual length of time, such that Jane Tanner mentioned it. What was he doing on that extra long Check? He could possibly have moved Madeleine's body out of the apartment & hidden her somewhere along the road in the direction of the Smiths sighting. Under a Bush or behind a wall or in a bin. It was dark & late so it wouldn't have been impossible to hide a child somewhere. There's luck & chance involved but you take a chance in life every time you cross the road, fly in a plane or stick your face in a fan.

From around 10pm when the alarm was raised. But obviously, we can't be sure of the exact time the alarm was raised because the guests at the Tapas were dining, not staring at their watches all evening.

But do you mean that Gerry was Smithman too, and moved the body again to a more secure place once Kate raised the alarm?

They all run to the apartment  they split up & search, Gerry searches alone innthe direction of the Smith sighting, retrieves Madeleine?s body, gets seen by the Smiths at about 10:03, then puts her body in an commercial waste dumpster type bin. The guests at the Tapas were mistaken about the exact time the alarm was raised & that's why Gerry appears to be in two places at once. He wasn't. It's just the timed are off.

Matts visit was spontaneous. I think Kate was meant to check at 8:30 but when Matt offered they couldn't really turn him down. I don't believe he was involved but he did talk a load of nonsense in his police interview.
