Despite Kate's theatrics, her & Gerry knowing Madeleine had just been dragged out of the window by paedos, neither of them, in the first 41 minutes, ran down to reception to call the police & report the abduction. Gerry told the other men to split up & search then he went off somewhere, & Kate stayed inside the apartment punching walls.

The Police were called then they were called a second time.  What do you mean Kate's theatrics?  Her child was missing have some empathy I don't think you are capable of empathy.  It has never happened to you so you don't care.

No, the call wasn't logged until after 10:40 when Gerry finally bothered to go to reception. Gerry claims he sent Matt, but he didn't it was Fiona who sent Matt. All Matt knew to report to reception at the time however was that Madeleine was simply missing. He didn't see the open window, so he didn't know it was an abduction & didn't convey that, hence the reason the receptionist didn't call the police immediately to report this very serious alleged crime. The McCanns could have conveyed the urgency, but didn't bother.  I have no empathy or sympathy for the McCanns because I see no good reason to believe Madeleine was abducted. I'm swayed by evidence. The only evidence of Madeleine's abduction, & it's been 19 long years now, the only evidence is still the McCanns claiming she was abducted, & the Smith family sighting.

so Fiona, I think, asked me to go and phone the Police, so I actually went down the route to where she would have gone for Nursery drop off, which his back to the, to the main reception essentially, so I went down that route looking for her at that time and I asked the reception to phone the Police, and that must have been about five past, it's difficult to know what time it was at that time, but maybe about ten past ten, five past ten, ten past ten'.

For Matt to report what though? A child abduction? Don't you think they would have called the police immediately if that was the case? They didn't call them though. They alerted other members of staff that a child was simply missing, until they actually called the police another half hour later.

Lace, why didn't either Kate or Gerry see to it themselves that the police be notified immediately, that Madeleine had just been dragged out of the window by an abductor? I find it very easy to explain from my side of the fence. I can't really come up with a decent explanation when I try & consider it from the other.

I don't think they were in a fit state to do anything.

Really? According to Kate, when she discovered Madeleine was missing she went into well practised medical emergency mode.

'Refusing to acknowledge what I already knew, and perhaps automatically going into a well-practised medical-emergency mode, I quickly scoured the apartment to exclude all other possibilities, mentally ticking boxes that I knew, deep down, were already ticked. I checked the wardrobe in the children's room. I ran into the kitchen, throwing open all the cupboard doors, into our bedroom, searching the wardrobes, in and out of the bathroom, all within about fifteen seconds, before hurtling out through the patio doors and down towards Gerry and our friends.

It seems medical emergency mode completely ended when she had an audience.

It really is pathetic the reasons McCann supporters have to come up with to excuse the McCanns behaviour. Kate hung around inside the apartment & Gerry ran off somewhere, but neither of these medical professionals were capable of reporting the abduction to the police.
