The truth is Sadie the situations are rather different.  So it is possible to not see a connection.  It is rather debatable whether there is a connection.

I am still of the same opinion as G.

The children were known to wake up during the night according the the parents. Well apart from that one evening  where they slept through a real noisy,busy bedroom activity. Which made Kate think they may have been drugged.

Not so - in fact quite the opposite.    According to Kate the twins had always been good sleepers and when Madeleine had got up in the night it was never in the first few hours after she went to bed.

Can you really not work that out for yourself G?     They were not at home - completely different circumstances inevitably meant different thoughts,  responses and actions to the norm.

When it suited.  Nobody bothered to look near them for over an hour two nights before she disappeared.  Then we have heard of a mystery couple who went into the apartment when they heard constant crying. Just what sort of parents leave children alone and in imminent danger in such circumstances.
