12-Processos, Vol 12 Pages 3281 - 3884

Witness Statement
Date: 17-10-2007
Jose Maria Batista Roque

Then, while his colleague remained in the hall, and the others were in the living room, the witness went through the entire apartment. He opened all the cupboards in the bedrooms, living room and kitchen and checked under the beds and inside the washing machine. He did not see the fridge.
Every time I read that I think they must regret not checking the fridge.

Madeleine McCann's bed.  Would a cat even get under that bed???

Yes, a cat could crawl under that base but a child could not even get their head under it.  In addition, the underside is sealed with a fabric lining.

A malicious prosecution for a crime which never existed. An exposé of egregious malfeasance by public officials.
Indeed, the truth never changes with the passage of time.

I think it would still be a good hiding place  If a person lifted the bed up and hid a child's body under the bed. Someone looking might think "a child wouldn't be under there!"

That is possible but then they would be looking for an unconscious/dead infant.  Then again they were looking in large bins too so anything was possible.

It doesn't matter how much was consumed, taking any alcohol can impair responses and render the most sensible of adults incapable of normal actions in an emergency thus the wailing mulah episodes.
We don't know how much was consumed before they went out and also we don't know if prescribed meds were taken before or after.

I've always found that contradictory.  If you find your child gone, the shutter raised and the window open why look under beds and in cupboards?  Wouldn't you rush outside the front door and search the car park and adjacent road first?

I agree i have mentioned this on other threads. Kate knew that the children had not been physically checked since being put to bed. Now we have a big time frame here. It has been narrowed down by Kate and Gerry- Gerry  just poppng his head in brighter ight than Kate obviousy because he claims to have seen his daughter and ws having a proud dad moment. so when the door is open eve wider Kate can't see a thing because its too dark... It does defy the laws of physics but then why let a little thing like that stand in the way?

Perhaps Gerry eats more carrots than Kate.

Perhaps it was a little later and a little darker.

Not in my opinion - but it does show the bizarre levels of nitpicking some sceptics will go to in their quest to find fault with every last little thing the McCanns have ever done or ever said.

The notion that innocence prevails over guilt – when there is no evidence to the contrary – is what separates civilization from barbarism.    Unfortunately, there are remains of barbarism among us.    Until very recently, it headed the PJ in Portimão. I hope he was the last one.

And it is with great thanks that freedom of speech is allowed. These questions are quite pertiant to those of us who want to find out what went on that evening. We know the supporters hate it, feel free to ignore  it if it upsets you.

Supporters know they have no come back to these questions, and interest by those of us who have an open mind  continue, despite this.

If you believe their was an abduction then there is no way you can force people to acccept your reasoning, if you bothered to offer any, without evidence. Those of us who do not believe simply add our reasoning for our argument provided by the family statements.

Who can tell?

Each one of us believes what we wish to believe and think it the truth.

But The Truth is absolute.  Or would you question that?

I agree it is strange but it is even stranger when one considers that according to what was then revealed the shutter was supposed to have been up when Kate did the 10pm check but still she couldn't see properly despite Gerry being able to see Madeleine a hour earlier with the shutter down.  But then the laws of physics have always played silly b....rs in this case, moving doors and ghosts aside.
