It is more than ten years since Maddie disappeared and in the strangest of circumstances.  Several theories have been advanced in that time with each one being as valid as the next.  It is remarkable that not a single shred of evidence has been uncovered in all that time to give a clue as to her whereabout.

It is indeed remarkable that in those ten years not a single shred of evidence has been uncovered that would implicate her parents in her disappearance.

People who climb Ben Nevis  in shorts and sandals " create the situation "  where thousands have to be spent rescuing them and other folk risk their lives to save them.
People make wrong decisions which end in tragedy
I just don't denigrate  them or blame them for evermore.

Children drown in baths, garden pools and holiday swimming pools every year.   None of their parents are then viciously persecuted day in day out - year in year out  -  even though it can be claimed it was because of their actions these tragedies happened.

IMO that's because most people fully accept that human beings do make mistakes and there is no such thing as a perfect parent.

exactly and it isnt a  crime to  not believe in an abduction imo

Common sense must surely dictate that keeping up a ten year assault of blame against her parents
  • isn't going to assist Madeleine one tiny little bit
  • but that on-going hate campaigns including libels might very well be a crime ... certainly against decency and humanity
Do you know of any human beings who deserve what has been thrown at Madeleine's parents over ten years without let up?  Or any with the strength of character not to allow themselves or their family to be destroyed by it?
I don't.
"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

How do you assist someone, with whom no trace has been found, since she disappeared, and IMO, most people would agree is no longer alive ?

No human being deserves what has been thrown at Madeleine's family.
I do not know how they have stayed so strong throughout these past ten years .

Like the disappearance, the situation was of their own making.  They appealed to the world and the world felt sympathy and dug deep to help the search.  But what happened next has sickened many people to the bottom of their stomachs.

I am sure that without a shadow of a doubt that Madeleine's parents would swop being "as famous????" in a heartbeat, for just a sight of her and the knowledge that she is safe and well.

In my opinion, you really demonstrate a complete misconception about Madeleine's parents as well as a complete misconception of why people like me feel it necessary to gainsay people like you.

Which part of using every resource available to find a missing child makes you sick to your stomach?

Hasn't "sickened " me nor anyone I know.
Lots of things "sicken me to the bottom of my stomach" but certainly not the parents of a missing little girl.

Infamous would be better.

Why are they 'infamous' in some circles, Angelo?

Their efforts to keep Madeleine McCann's profile in the public eye has been the most successful 'marketing ploy' of a missing child ever ... and that includes the Lindberg baby.

If Madeleine was indeed the victim of abduction as Scotland Yard and the Policia Judiciaria believe, I don't think their campaigning for Madeleine would sit well in that quarter.
Others should perhaps examine their consciences on that one.

No  point in continually asking the same question - when you have no intention of accepting the answers.

For the umpteenth time -  this forum is specifically designed for both 'sides' to discuss the Madeleine McCann case.    Why are you here if you object  to it so much - when as you keep pointing out - no-one is forced to read anything?

In my case it's nothing to do with caring about Kate and Gerry - it's because I care about justice, hate cruelty and don't like Kangaroo courts -  or people who gleefully delight in other people's misfortune.

Another reason is to refute the lies, myths and disinformation which continue to be peddled in this case - whether it be by the genuinely misinformed or by the just plain spiteful.
