It was sold.  I believe Thomas Cook ended up with the wooden spoon.

According to Donna Hill;

Chitty and Searle’s holiday company has pulled out of Portugal - not because of any fall-off in business over the disappearance of Madeleine McCann but because Thomas Cook has offered them “a very good deal”, said Ms Hill.

Mark Warner were gone before the summer 2015 season. It remains to be seen whether the deal was good enough to allow the group to recoup the £ 3,836,127 owing to European Leisure Holdings by Greentrust SA as at 31 Oct 2015.
