There is no evidence that the rest of The Tapas Group were involved in any way.
There is absolutely no evidence that Kate and Gerry were involved in an abduction or Madeleine vanishing either.

Pity it had to await the advent of the Rebelo investigation for information to be transferred to that state of the art software.  Unless miscellaneous scraps of paper work just as well?

Snip
Expresso 20.10.07
The new team that is led by Paulo Rebelo, the new coordinator of the Criminal Investigation Department of Policia Judiciaria (PJ) in Portimao, already has the Maddie case process digitalized into the personal computers. "It was a hideous amount of work", because the process' paperwork was "anarquically spread out", according to a source with PJ, who criticises the inexistence of a centralising figure in the former team, who "would know how to distribute the work".

Chief inspector Antonio Teixeira and inspector Portel, both from the Lisbon Directory and homicide experts, are two well-know names in a team that includes another four investigators (from robberies and data crossing departments). "They are reviewing the process. There was a lot of important information that was despised in the investigation", the same source says.

Yeah well my views on all that are bordering on criminal if not homicidal.
Given "the source" actually exists he sounds like he was part of the problem rather than helping with the solution. I can go down any labour exchange (showing mi age now) and ask for some fat lazy bstd to sit on the sidelines with his finger up his jaxi while he lobs ball bearings, with the other hand, under the feet of those doing the work.
If the guy in charge was not making best use of all the resources at his disposal he should have been hung up from the yard arm. Then on the other hand the guy in charge may have been able to do a rough pass analysis, that would pass muster, by inspection.
I doubt we will ever know the truth and each will make up his own mind about tales in the press.

Why the parents?

Why the parents?

because the parents have never been suspected of homicide

Is suspected something like considered?  I would say it had been suspected at some stage.  Remember the story about the plea bargain?  That would not make sense unless there wasn't some suspicion of homicide.

Classic case of circular reasoning.

in your opinion...remember

So you think the expression...

The possibility of Homicide rules out the parents because they have never been suspected of homicide.

Is not circular reasoning?

There is always a possibility that someone murdered Madeleine.  Paedophiles tend to do that sort of thing.  Nothing strange about considering this.

If it isn't circular is certainly is faulty.
