She had the right to an opinion. I'm not sure if she had the right to publicise her opinion as a fact.
In what way does she not have that right.

Unless it is fact disguised as opinion.  Kate always says she know more than we do, and I wonder what she means by that?

Kate can say what she, wants within the law.... She can state her opinion as fact if she wishes

She said that and then said she couldn't give details due to 'Judicial secrecy'. Nothing of interest was ever divulged in my opinion.

I apply another law on her.  She want's God's help, as is evidenced by her resort to prayer etc, and in her case I hope because of that she set the highest moral standards on herself on her part.  Honesty for a starter, I think, would be essential.
If one is looking for honesty something that is an opinion shouldn't be said as a fact.  You don't like Amaral saying his opinions as facts, so same rules should apply to Kate IMO.

why not?  The Needhams always maintained that Ben was abducted, were they wrong to do so, in your opinion?

If you state God exists you are stating opinion as fact
You have no right to apply gods law to her if you are, a, Christian... Judgement is mine said the lord
Amaral is committing libel with his opinion.. Imo

I think it goes without saying that Kate knows far more than we do.  She certainly has a lot more information to inform her.
Scotland Yard undertook to keep her in the loop at the start of the investigation; I don't see why that situation would have changed.

Snip
Scotland Yard could not comment directly on this new development, but did say: “We are reviewing a significant number of documents and continue to identify potential lines of inquiry.
“We are in regular contact with [her parents] Kate and Gerry McCann and they are kept fully updated on the progress of our work. We also continue to work closely with the Portuguese police and are actively considering our next steps.”

"All I'm going to say is that we've conducted a very serious investigation and there's no indication that Madeleine McCann's parents are connected to her disappearance. On the other hand, we have a lot of evidence pointing out that Christian killed her," Wolter told the "Friday at 9"....

Perhaps they also applied for assistentes in the Pt process.

Thanks for that link, Byron.
I've not seen that information before in such detail.

You seem to have a knack for sourcing new materials relevant to working out the processes which took place in Portugal in the lead up to reopening Madeleine's case.

It makes it abundantly clear that the Porto team's evidence based review has led them to the investigation of abduction.

Snip
Investigation centered on the rapture thesis
The PÚBLICO knows that the members of PJ do Porto have already visited the Algarve several times to gather elements and carry out informal investigations that will support the need to reopen the case. The reopening of the inquiry is the only way for the PJ to formally inquire these witnesses.

The reanalysis of the case returns to focus the investigation on the kidnapping thesis, the main line followed by Scotland Yard, who also opened an investigation into the disappearance of Maddie. The PJ do Porto team was convinced of this thesis in view of the careful observation of all the information in the process.

PJ's source made it clear to PÚBLICO that the request to reopen the case is the result of the work of the Oporto team alone, not of elements collected by Scotland Yard, which also opened an investigation into the disappearance of Maddie . This work is also not to be confused with that of another team of six inspectors from the PJ de Faro delegation who have been carrying out the steps requested by the British authorities for more than a month in the context of a request for international cooperation. The national board of the PJ refuses to give details of the new evidence collected and to whom it will be responsible for the investigation, trying to protect the work of the inspectors.

Like their British counterparts the Policia Judiciaria found plenty of fresh evidence to get their teeth into.  What a great pity it wasn't followed to its conclusion at the time of Madeleine's disappearance.

Snip
The request of the PJ was the result of more than two years of reanalysis of the process carried out by a team from PJ do Porto, created in March 2011. A group of four inspectors led by research coordinator Helena Monteiro - who never contacted the inquiry, thus avoiding any contamination in the assessment - will have identified witnesses who were never questioned while the proceedings were in progress, until July 2008.

This is confirmed in a statement released Thursday by the PJ. "This work of reanalysis, which took place during the last two and a half years, allowed us to know new evidence that, by imposing the continuation of the investigation, fulfilled the requirements ... for the reopening of the investigation," reads the note.

Please be careful of typing within the quote box.  You mix up the post to which you are replying with your response and end up making no sense at all as above.
