Soz, but not right John.  The prevailing wind (high pressure) was from the northwest, IIRC and the lower pressure was to the southeast.

Going from High pressure to Low pressure means that the bedroom door would close and the patio window curtains would flutter in a southerly direction.  Just the same as the door in Madeleines room and also the curtains, they fluttered in a southerly direction.

So letting the breeze in the patio door could never have happened that night, but letting it out was a possibility since it would have come in the bedroom window.

Or at least put your head through the doorway.
Depends on how long your neck is!

Thank you, John.  8((()*/
Well described, however it would need a step into the room imo, to see if Madeleine was alright

It depend how close to the door the checker was. If as you imply it would be normal to listen first then ear to door, open door with head close then first view is Madeleine not twins.

Kate's demonstration of checking Madeleine's bed. She didn't need to enter the room when she could lean forward/in regardless of neck length.

Smithman carrying a child in his arms checked his watch after passing the Smith family and the time was 10:03. Both are still unidentified 10 years later.

So how did Gerry see all this and Kate didn't?

It would deserve an answer if you believe it.

You still only can see what is lit up sufficiently to see it.  Where Madeleine slept was a dark corner I'd imagine

Jose Batista the waiter who served the Tapas 9 group for four consecutive nights in a row said that it was only the Men in the group that checked the Children regularly, It was only on the 3rd of May at 10pm that Kate left the table to check the Children.

Not forgetting Gerry had to remind Kate at 10pm it was her turn to check on the Children.

So you have to ask yourself, what was so different about this night, why the change in routine?

Now you are asking the right question.

Kate McCann said she found the door more open than how we'd left it, so why at that time didn't Kate see all 3 Children?

Kate's version on her check was very different in her statement on the 4th May 2007.

At around 10pm, the interviewee went to check on the children. She went into the apartment by the side door, which was closed but not locked, as she said before. She noticed that the door to her children's bedroom was completely open, the window was also open, the shutters raised and the curtains open, while she was certain of having closed them all as she always did.

No mention of the curtains whooshing, no mention of the door slamming.

They weren't writing down what Kate said so we don't know what she actually said.

Looking at this photo again,  before entering the bedroom you walk through a small alcove which I presume would almost be in shadow.

I can't see how the light could light up bedroom, it would have been blocked by the alcove, light doesn't find itself around corners.
