If I were to write a book in those circumstances it would be to try to find my daughter so I expected it to be the same , I do not suspect the McCanns btw
Quote‘It is a sad fact that not a single police force anywhere is proactively looking for Madeleine (as is the case for many other missing children). I am sure this book will re-energize the search for our daughter and the public will get behind the Find Madeleine campaign once again. It is simply not acceptable that the authorities have given up on Madeleine – especially when no comprehensive review of the case has been undertaken. Our daughter, and whoever took her, are out there. We need your help to find them.’
Gerry McCann, May 2011
... and guess what ... a new chapter opened for Madeleine when the search for her was resumed in 2013. It was a disgracefully long time coming for a little girl the authorities effectively gave up on just months into her disappearance, but come it did both here and in Portugal.
Do you think any police force would be looking for her now and investigating her case without the constant agitating and keeping Madeleine's name alive that her parents have maintained over the years 'cos I certainly don't.
The book was in my opinion a means to an end and in my opinion was therefore a resounding success.
I bought it too and read it despite my sadness at the narrative.
