To be clear, G-Unit has identified a distinction between English civil law and civil law in other parts of Europe (including Portugal).
But that wasn't G-Unit's claim.
G-Unit's claim was that England doesn't have civil law.
England does have civil law.
Just to be clear, I didn't say any of the above. Read my posts, Jean-Pierre's post and the links again. Both countries have civil and criminal law. but based on completely different SYSTEMS. England has a common law system, Portugal a civil law system.
Therefore your suggestion that Portugal uses Volenti non fit iniuria (to him who is willing no harm can come) was wrong because that's a
common law doctrine, applying only in countries using a common law system. Portugal isn't one of them.
