No,  that's why he was thrown off the case.

For objecting to interference.

How would SY enjoy interference from a foreign police force in a case Lace ?

That crime scene was tampered with before the the GNR arrived nevermind the PJ. And who took ages to call the police?

They searched 5a for Madeleine,  what would you do?   Amaral should have sealed off 5a and not let it be rented out to holiday makers,  it was a crime scene for gods sake.

The McCann's asked for the police to be called straight away,   who knows why they weren't,  probably because they had their own way of dealing with missing children and the person decided to let his boss decide what to do.

You really are clueless aren't you.   SY have searched in Portugal  did you miss it?

Kate McCann actually said she didn't think Madeleine was a million miles away from Portugal,   that IMO means she could be near Portugal not actually in it.

Do you think that the police should be tearing Portugal apart Stephen?

Past tense Lace.

The have found nothing.

You like SY are COMPLETELY CLUELESS.

A million miles would take here out of this world, so she could have been abducted by aliens, but not as far away as Alpha Centuri   ?{)(**
I believe everything. And l believe nothing.
I suspect everyone. And l suspect no one.
I gather the facts, examine the clues... and before   you know it, the case is solved!"

Or maybe not -

it would have helped  too if the mcanns had looked after their  kids

If the McCann's had left every door open with an arrow pointing to Madeleine's bedroom,  they would STILL be entitled to a  full investigation into the disappearance.   Just because they left their children,  though they were cleared of neglect remember by the Portuguese,   why should they expect nothing less of a thorough investigation and search for their child.   Why should Madeleine not be given the same chances that any other missing child would have.   That's like saying 'oh your parents left you alone,  they don't deserve to have anyone searching for you so tough luck'.

SY are not clueless, they know what happened that night.

Just to clarify, I have been told that Gonçalo Amaral's assets will only made available once the appeal has run its course and been rejected of course.

They found nothing when they searched no,  no dead body.

You really think you know better than experienced detectives don't you,   as SY have said they are not going to give a running commentary to the public and rightly so.

Back up your statement that the McCanns asked for the police to be called straight away?

Smithman carrying a child in his arms checked his watch after passing the Smith family and the time was 10:03. Both are still unidentified 10 years later.

Read the current judgement again.

First take your blinkers off.

The judges have clearly explained why the previous one was wrong.

just as the same judge explained how the banning of the book was wrong...a decision that was overturned...you cannot accept reality...it isn't over yet.

Read the statements.

I have but you haven't.

Mrs Fenn offered her phone to them at 10:30. They refused.

Police called at 10:41

They had mobiles which were cleared of phone history (for that week!) so they knew how to use them.

Would anyone care to express an opinion on why The McCanns won the judgement at the first trial?  The one that has just been overturned.

The judge based her judgement on just two points. That Amaral used privileged information in his book and that he ignored the presumption of innocence.

As I understand it the Appeal Court said there was no requirement for a retired police officer to observe judicial secrecy when the information had been released to the public and discussed in the media. Presumption of innocence applies only to suspects, I think.
